"Can it get any more PC?"That's the name of the game today......unfortunately.
To: ArtyFO
It's a shame that the Academy didn't know you were more qualified for the position. It's a loss for us all.

Can it get any more PC? In your opinion what is it exactly that makes her unqualified for the post?
To: ArtyFO
This title is merit based at the Academy.
I believe they have had female Commandants before,...I think it was before PC ruled the day, as well. They are highly qualified and well respected by ALL members of the brigade.

Jack Aubrey would roll over in his grave.
If he had one, that is.

>>Klein previously served in the Presidential Contingency Plans Directorate of the White House Military Office
Under which President?
>>as a Brookings Legislative Fellow in 1997
Bad sign.
>>and on the staff of Senator Olympia Snowe
Another bad sign.
>>She holds a Masters of Education
Possible bad sign.

"What's she going to do? Nag the enemy to death?"
If necessary she wouldl kill them in the same manner that our male officers would do; with a gun, missle, possibly with her bare hands. If she is the top officer I expect that she is qualified in all.
You should be thankful that we have young people willing to accept such responsibility.

Question for you navy types ---
How do you get promoted from Capt (0-6) to Rear Admiral (0-8)? Isn't the rank of Commodore (0-7) in between?
