My understanding is that they are different. In fact, I believe the emails to the 16 year old page were in 2005, and the IM's were earlier than that. Sorry if that is wrong. There are some timelines at Strata-sphere that indicate that.

Exactly. Why would you hang on to sexually explicit IM's for three years if it was only a prank to begin with? And as far as believing that the IM's ended up in the hands of "enemy political operatives" by mistake, all I've got to say is: "I might have been born at night, but it wasn't last night."
I'm a recently retired high school teacher. You should see the agenda they've been pushing in the schools. It's not pretty.

Edmunds is not the kid in Louisiana who received the creepy emails and reported it to his congressman. Edmunds is the kid whom Foley had the sexually-explicit IM(s) with and is from California. We do not know who the kid in Louisiana is and we should never find out.
NO!!Just the opposite, I think the page wrote to Foley as a joke, Foley wrote back not knowing it was a joke, and got caught 3 years later. The one IM that I have seen (about him not being 18 until Feb) certainly did not seem to be a first time IM. I want to see them all, did they start out innocently and progress into something sick from there? Did these kids get together and decide to see how far they could take Foley? What is the whole nexus of this scandal.
I think Foley is a pig and I am glad he resigned.
