Former Rep. Mark Foley's attorney said Tuesday that his client was molested between the ages 13 and 15 by a clergyman. Roth also announced for the first time that Foley is gay.
Bbbbbut....people aren't "born gay?" Child molestation never enters into the equation - according to Liberals.
Thanks...

How is it that I keep reading about how a child was molested by Foley. Here is a link to the page and what he says.

Careful -- when you talk about the "Patches defense", you are showing your age!
These younguns don't know that one.
While the blame game is not satisfactory, there are interesting facts about molestation when young. These folks are far more likely to be molesters than a person from the general population.
Why?
Lost sense of restraint caused by doors being opened and mental pathways being formed that are easy to repeat.
I'm just out of touch with pop culture.
I think it's reasonable to believe that, having spent as much time as he did in that candy store of boys, it's not likely he didn't sample the goods from time to time.
It will all come out in good time.
Wow, that's a quinella !

Oh, like I give a damn. That was 40 years ago. He is responsible for his actions as an adult.
One reason child predation should be punished severely is because it has long-lasting psychological effects on the child. IMHO, it should be treated as severely as if the child was actually permanently physically disabled, the risk of permanent psychological damage is so likely. That said, a child who is molested is still responsible for his actions as an adult. Nobody gets a get-out-of-jail-free card.
You cannot even TALK to anybody under 18 online???? Please.
Yes, and not ashamed to admit it.
Welcome to the party! The more the merrier!
Botton line is that this story is getting a little too radioactive for the MSM to touch. I expect this to be pushed to the back of the stove and in the refrigerator in two weeks.
Next it will the phases of the moon. His refusal to stand up and say. " I did this, it is entirely my fault and I am the one who must face the consequences" is just slightly less disgusting then his instant messages.
