My guess is that there is "wreckage" from the original collision midair, and then there is the wreckage form the impact.

I suspect there isn't much in between the two locations.

I don't know if they will even try and search the area between the collision and the crash. If they do it's going to be an incredibly time intensive task to search all that area in the jungle.

My question, as a non-aero hi-tech accountant, is who owns that 'parked in the jungle' aircraft?

Did ownership change from the factory, if in fact it did?

Isn't this a FOB factory vs destination type issue?

Is that poor businessman located in Long Island owing lease payments on the aircraft parked in the jungle?
