Are you saying Babel happened BEFORE the flood?
No. The Flood is ch 7-9 and Babel is ch 11.
Also if you are referring to my playing fast and loose with a few thousand years, sorry.
It does matter, since we have proof of other languages before the events in Babylon (Babel) supposedly took place.
Let me not assert more than the Bible says. It says at the time in question, immediate post flood, all mankind had one language. It does not say there were never other languages. It says that God is responsible for causing various languages for His own purposes.
It seems like I've read that language is becoming less complex and that some archaic languages were very complex with vast vocabularies........some university linguistics dept....I have forgotten where.
Anyway, that's all I know on this subject. I sure hope you're not wasting your time conversing with me.
What about these pre-flood languages and what evidence is there to support their past existence?
I am interested in the diversification of humanity into family groups post flood. Migrations of groups of people and the colonization of various parts of Europe and Asia are discussed in a book "After the Flood" by Bill Cooper.
OK. so.
Our hearts or your head?
