I remember after their bodies were found there was a lot of speculation regarding how they were taken. There are numerous threads here at FR about it.
Many said they found it strange that a video had not been released showing the terrorist handwork.

IIRC their small force separated to chase down some terrorists....a big no no which I hope has been corrected with ROE since this happened...

IIRC their small force separated to chase down some terrorists.... That's correct...Afterward, they figured it was a set up by the terrorists.

"I'm sure Amnesty International is right on this. How many FReepers are going to take these out to their next local Amnesty International meeting and insist on the typical letter-writing campaign against these atrocities? And cries from UN stooges, Mullah's rioting on Muslim streets over this which gives "Islam a bad name", condematation by MSM, etc etc. But I agree with Mcpain, don't tortue these animals or keep them in prison with no coloring books and doughnuts. Just shoot them dead.

Do you know which? I did a search and found umpteen gazillion threads - would take a while to sift through the hundreds of comments in each.
I've heard some things but I don't know if they are speculation, offical reporting, classified, or unclassified.

Someone needs to make sure McCain, Warner, Graham and Collins see these pictures. They don't care--they're only interested in furthering their careers, especially McCain. They stopped caring about the people they supposedly represent a long, long time ago.

Ax, I don't know where the video is on the internet, They seemed very sure of the video I think they said a middle eastern website. Fox cited an AP story for the information. I will keep listening.

No, I meant the threads discussing how they were captured. I see a ton of threads about the incident, but most comments amount to "animals!" and "prayers" etc.

Well, I know that Fox Radio on the weekends is populated by Hate-Bush Marxists, or some kind of little left-wing CNN wannabes.
They all have that sort of gasping, contemptuous pronounciation of Christine Amanpour and the rest of the CNN leftists.
I can't listen to Fox radio on Saturdays and Sundays.
It's like the journalism students all got out of their Noam Chomsky class.

chicken poop generals better hope the dems don't retake(stop sharing) power or they will be serving as police protection for gay weddings and doing global job re-training for taliban.

I'd call them the ill-begotten whelps of a mangy curr in heat that crawled out from the sewer for their spawn of a pig father to take prohibited carnal pleasures in.
There is that a big enough insult to them?

Where was the Geneva Convention for them???
There are no nor ever will be signatories to the Geneva Convention by terrorists.
The real lesson here has been realized by our armed forces that surrender or capture is not an option. The Pentagon ought to revise the Rules of Engagement for our personnel to protect them from after action persecution and prosecution.
The Geneva Convention was adopted in 1949 and has been violated continuosly since. A GC card in your pocket while on the battlefield is worthless.

No, you want them to get their minds right. What we have so far is a failure to communicate.

We need General Sherman in charge. This order of Sherman was posted on one of the Civil War threads.
Hdqrs. Military Division of the Mississippi, In the field, Rome, Ga., October 29, 1864.
Brigadier-General Watkins, Calhoun, Ga.:
Cannot you send over about Fairmount and Adairsville, burn about ten or twelve houses of known secessionists, kill a few at random, and let them know it will be repeated every time a train is fired on from Reseca to Kingston?
W. T. Sherman,
Major-General Commanding
Maybe it was not gentlemanly fighting, but General Sherman meant that soldiers of the US Army were not going to be fired upon by guerrillas, freedom fighters, insurgents or whatever they called themselves. The soldiers in the field need a Sherman-like concern for their welfare with no concern about the tears of the boo hoo brigade of the left. They'd find something else to cry about anyway.
