I believe that Nascar will tell someone to pee down the foodchain to Dilner if they ever want to be involved closely in the business of Nascar racing again, and it will go away quietly...
btw since tires are now issued mounted by nascar how they would dismout the tires and mess with the rims without getting caught is astronomicly small

I do believe that someone led Dilner into this trap trying to befuddle the 29 team. But, as Kevin said it will take a lot more than that to rattle his cage. He knows who did it.

Here is a conspiracy theory to follow qualifying results --
1. UnHappy and North'rn qualified midpack -- RCR was indeed caught by NASCAR with the airholes in their rims and told not to do it again.
2. Swervin and FrontRowJoe qualify upfront -- MB2 figures that if NASCAR is going to be in public denial (and not make a new rule) they'll just go right ahead and add airholes to their rims this week!

So Dilner is a liar when he said he DID double-check with NASCAR before going to air?! I don't think so.
Here is a simple exercise, whose word's can be parsed and whose can't?
"No 'bleeder valves.'" Never said there were. "We would have to have all new wheels in five days." Or the change to the wheels was happening at the track garage. "Bob believed a bad source without double checking." Bob said on NASCAR Live! that he DID double-check. And on and on.
It may mean nothing, and probably does, but you can parse what RCR is saying, but not Dilner.
In any case, like I said, I think the real proof in the pudding about who is telling the truth is how RCR performs in the rest of the races this year.
