Nuns have bodyguards? In a place such as Mogadishu, sadly, yes. With, as we've seen ample reason to do so...

I have a small theory that the shooting was calculated in order to see what the Western response would be. Sadly, I haven't really seen much of a reaction to the loss of nuns life. This beautiful lady has most likely turned down a nice secure and and almost effortless life style in order to go into a nearly hostile, and impoverished land to help people the rest of the world even cares about. Little reaction tells them that the infidels are Godless, because they didn't defend a most righteous foot solider. A strong protest would have brought respect It would also expect more notorious, cowards killings against people in other positions just see what the results would be, so they could find out how to get the bang for their buck
Those on the left would consider the nun as romantic soul following an outdated dream of piety, salvation and colonialism. Obviously no protest there.
