Those evil contractors, how dare they try to find willing workers to build shelter, or in tom tancredo's case, to build his basement home theater in Colorado, when he is in DC busy being on every 24/7 network cable show, bashing the people building his basement home theater in Colorado. Unless you have some kind of proof that he is knowingly using a contractor using illegal aliens, maybe you should shut the hell up. In the meantime, any contractor using illegals and basing his wages to them on that should fail.

The X-Box comment wasn't mine. It's your implication that those damn kids don't need money for X-Boxes but it's OK for you to sit around playing on your computer. So when are you going to give back everything in your house that isn't needed for bare subsistence? Uh chief, you are replying to me, posting on your computer.

It's a great idea, and some legit contractor should do just that.

"What's going to happen to our economy if those workers go home? It would mean the loss of about a quarter of the excavators, laborers, masons, concrete workers, landscapers, roofers, drywallers and insulators in the valley," he said. What's going to happen is that companies that want to stay in business will simply have to pay more for their labor.
Supply and demand.
What we have now is kind of a government subsidy of contractors and landscapers.

Your reply was to dljordan, not me.
Got anything to say about the article you posted or are we just posting vanities today?

Let me bring some facts to your cry baby fluff piece on the "poor contractors".
Any contractor not filthy rich after this housing bubble should be
checked into a mental institution for being as dumb as a damn brick:
In a sane world, yes.
Instead they'll probably enter politics and get elected to the
position of President and First Lady.
Like that couple that lost money on real-estate in Arkansas during a boom.

And you BKnotts are promoting the democrat party notion of restricting supply, as in their restricting the supply of energy(oil, nuclear) to market.

WTF do X-boxes have to do with the equation? I've got a 17yo boy who would gladly dig a ditch for $14/hour, and yes he has an X-box.

Yep. For people who can't survive a booming market where everything is lined up for them, there's always bribery and kickback scams. Billary found their true calling in life.

So, you are in favor of no borders? You wish to allow anyone in the world to enter freely to work here?
Because that is the logical conclusion of your rather lame argument.

Lowry has never picked up a shovel in his whole life, but because of his pedigree at National Review, he becomes an expert on the subject of contractor employment I've never encountered a shovel that will convey an education in economics. Perhaps they sold them at those mom-and-pop places that got driven out of the market by Lowe's and Home Depot.

No guess worker program should even be considered until the border is 100% secure, the illegals are deported, and those who hired them are in jail.
