Why does no one ever challenge these liars when they talk of "crusaders"?

Fact is, it was ISLAM who started the whole thing when the Ottoman Empire attacked and took Jerusalem in the first place. The Crusades were take back Jerusalem from the Muslim invaders. Just once, one of these morons should be asked to defend their lie.

Oh right, public schools don't teach accurate History anymore....

Read the Koran sometime and see if it's "moderate".

One thing we do have, is all the evidence we need that Seymour Hersh is in bed with the terrorists. Even Adam Gadahn counts him as a friend.

Let's put that quote up every time Hersh mouths off again.

"Modern, moderate, good-neighborly Islam???"

Ain't no such thing.

Not now there isn't. There wasn't such a thing as modern, moderate, good-neighborly Shinto in 1942.

ISLAM, the religion of hate, murder, rape, subjugation and pedophilia.

You're right. Not all Muslims are bad, but the religion sucks.

Actually Jerusalem fell in 638 AD, the Arab conquest of Jerusalem was was supposedly relatively bloodless. Tradition has it that the Patriarch Sophronios surrendered the city to Omar, the commander of the Arab forces. The militarily & financially exhausted Byzantines had basically abandoned the city. (Some historians say that plague had swept through the area prior to the Arab advance and thus contributed to the sense of exhaustion & low morale.)The Ottoman Turks didn't show for another couple of centuries. The first flavor of Turks, the Seljuk Turks (Alp Arslan's crowd) were the one's that defeated the Byzantines at Mazinkert(1071 AD) and thus opened the floodgates for the rest of the Turks & the Ottoman Empire. Prior to the Turkish migration, the Arab Caliphiate had splintered into warring principalities that fought each other as much as they fought the Byzantines.

Read the Koran sometime and see if it's "moderate".

I could care less what the Koran says. I only care what individual Muslims (or anyone else) do or advocate. The Koran could say, "though shalt rape thrice daily," but that's not going to have the slightest impact on my practice of reserving the imputation of "rapist" solely for those who actually commit the crime.

So tell me specifically, wrt to, say, Khalid Duran -- a Muslim who co-authors articles with Pipes himself, and was a key researcher working with Steve Emerson in his ground breaking, pre-911 expose of radical Islam in America (American Jihad) -- how do you manage to disqualify him as a genuinely moderate Muslim?

How about a Mulsim like Irshad Manji, author of The Trouble With Islam Today, an open lesbian who's done joint booksignings with Salmon Rushdie? She's extremely critical of many elements and movements within her religion, and even describes herself as a "Muslim Refusenik," but in fact considers herself a good Muslim. So she can't really be a moderate either then, right? Please explain how she's not really a moderate Muslim.

If you manage to deal with those I can certainly give you more.

Heck, I'm thinking that evidence on that was probably conclusive by about 1972.

This nut job could just be talking smack, but if he is serious in his belief of Islam , all those mentioned should take heed.

He is calling for the assassination of those named individuals, by whichever Muslim can can close enough, unless they immediately convert to Islam

Not now there isn't?

Hiroshima, Nagasaki, the Tokyo fire bombings, the deaths of most of an entire generation of fighting-age Japanese men, etc, sort of diminished the attractiveness of being a militant Shinto

Similarly, the elimination of 10% or more of the world Muslim population might make the remainder pause in reflection on the wisdom of the path of Jihad

Which way is Meggiddo?

That depends on where you are. If you are in Los Angeles, it bears 23.26 degrees (approximately North Northwest)and is 6,556 nm away.

Assuming Austin Texas it bears 39.18 degrees (not quite Northwest) and is 6,194 nm away. Here's a tool that will let you calculate the bearing from wherever you might be. FYI Megiddo is at Latitude, 32° 35' 50.25" N. Longitude, 035° 13' 43.64" E. Or at least that's where the airport near there is located. For Megiddo itself you could put in 32° 34' 29N, 35° 10' 32E. But I figure the airport is close enough. :)
