The way out of this hole we are in, where our Representatives do ALL that we rebelled against at the start, is to hold them accountable. That means, tearing apart the party bond that holds them together. I for one will never vote for a person because of his or her party affiliation again. I will instead vote against all incumbents, save for those that distinguish themselves with fervor for the Constitution. I can think of only a handful (literally) who do that now. Damn the torpedos, full speed ahead.

I am not necessarily advocating voting only for R's. In most if not all cases they tend to be the lesser of two evils.

Geez T, have some respect for yourself.

I hear ya, story. It's a side effect from living in "Lil' Cook County" all my life. Hell, I'm not even married, so I should have loads of respect for myself. LOL!

You're beginning to sound like a politician.

Muahahahaha! I'm preparing to run for local office, and my little scheme is working! The liberal fools here in Rock Island won't know what hit 'em! >:-D Good lord... I really need to get out in the fresh air more often.

Thanks for doing the thread yesterday.

I've been sicker than a dog -- some kind of bronchitis, hopefully it's NOT pneumonia....

Hopefully you'll be feeling better over the holiday weekend. Just stay in bed but keep your keyboard and computer right there with you. You can't keep a good Savage infidel down!!!!

Definitely do not screw around with that, FT. I had a bad case of the flu several years ago, with terrible lung congestion. Every time I fell asleep, I would stop breathing and woke up panicked and out of breath. After that went on for a day or two with no relief in sight, I drove myself to the emergency room of the nearest hospital. After waiting and waiting to be looked at by the on-call doctor, he checked me out and said there was nothing he could do. I then drove myself to a ReadyMed a few miles away, and the doctor there made me out a prescription for some sort of Penicillin, which worked a treat! I started feeling better only a few hours after the first dose. I'll never forget what that doctor said about the emergency room physician: "That's ridiculous. He should have prescribed something for you, instead of allowing you to leave without proper care." After that experience, I'll never laugh or joke about another ReadyMed care facility again! Get well soon, FT.

I can live my words, there is not a single Republican incumbent in my State of WA, that would affect the national scene.

Well, at least it's nice to see that no one bothered to put up a thread for the repeat Labor Day show. (one hand clapping) Here's MY prediction. Savage will be live tonight; Tuesday, September 5, 2006. This should be a big month for talk radio. The fall Arbitron numbers will be tabulated, so look for some exciting radio.
