I can't stop laughing at your description, it is perfect. I am tired and punchy, but that is priceless.

I'd crawl naked across broken glass to get away from Greta Van Sustern's tabloid-mercials.

There was one (I think Viagra) commercial a few years ago that was so strange. A guy is standing outside in the yard, trying to throw a football through a tire swing. His wife is standing on the porch, and she frowns when he throws a wobbly pass and the ball and it bounces off the side of the swing. They do the voiceover for the product, and then cut back to the back yard, where the guy throws a screamer right through the middle of the tire swing. His wife smiles, and they walk inside, with his arm around her waist, apparently to throw the old football through the tire swing.
I always thought it looked like a sequence that should have been on "Married With Children."

The one that cracks me up lately is the fake one-minute "documentary" recounting the evolution of eating chicken in NASCAR cars.

"nothing to distract. The voice itself is distracting and offensive and the repetitive nature is annoying. it's like, Ok, alright already, I heard you the first time Bi*ch. Now shutup" But, it got your attention, you heard it and you remembered the product name and how to use it. Now you may or may not buy it, but the commercial achieved what it wanted to achieve, as annoying as it may be to some.

My Worst Commercials:
1. Every commercial that works us into a frenzy about the Osteoporosis crisis faced by women. These: "If it weren't for strong shoulders, who would support them?" and "I've got my grandmother's hump!"
2. The Adelphia commercials that make men look like bumbling stumbling morons. On one of them, a guy is actually struck by lighting while his family laughs and smiles.
3. The Blue Cross/Blue Shield commercial with the guy (Hank) climbing a rock wall while the narrator (his "beloved" wife) tell us what a dumbass he is.
4. The Doctor Z. commercials.
5. The Progressive commercials with the smug jerk wearing the cheesy light blue suit.

This one is good but the EDS ad was really thought-provoking. I suppose that ad's appeal (for me) lies in the fact that organizational behavior and communication is one of my pet interests. It helps that the EDS ad is extremely funny too!!
