I am a proud Missourian and it doesn't bother me one bit to have to show ID to vote down at the fire station. It's important enough to me to be worth the little effort it takes.
The dung beetle who wrote this editorial has probably never voted in his mediocre life.

Missouri is the latest front in the Republican Party’s campaign to use photo ID requirements to suppress voting.

The GOP should be on this constantly giving examples of vote fraud . Stay on the attack

If voters aren't knowledgeable enough to get the IDs they shouldn't be voting

These arguments against photo ID are pure, unadulterated B--- S---. Tey've been used successfully again and again in Wisconsin to keep us from havingany control whatsoever over who votes, how many times they vote, and whether they are eligible to vote. It is a scandal. Our felonious Dem Governor vetoed a voter ID bill 3 times in the last 4 years. In fact, our voter commission is not even going to abide by Federal law in this matter. It is a scandal.

I know you are mad. I am too. Consider, for the first time in my lifetime (54 years) the liberals are really acting out what they think. The dictatorial courts are pulling out all the stops and are trying to implement an agenda that enslaves us and destroys the nation.

Americans, who have never suspected what the libs think and what the courts are up too, have seen this and they are appalled. They will show up in November and many of these nuts will be gone from DC. Keep the faith, you will see.

I'd like the NT SLimes to provide a list of all those people who are legal to vote but can't get an ID.

This asinine report also doesn't include the fact that there is no charge for a Missouri ID. However a birth certificate and social security card is required to get one. There is a charge for that. If the Dimmies in St. Louis and Kansas City were really interested in their constituents, they'd be organizing free transportation for those poor unfortunates that have no way to the DMV. ( yes, I'm being just a wee bit sarcastic!)

Why?

Another question: Why are the voter registers not wiped after each election?

Yes, it's the Republican's Evil Plot to suppress illegitimate voting, the bread and butter of urban Democrats everywhere. Heaven forbid Republicans want to make sure that the people who vote are entitled to vote. I bet they'd really scream about voting machines that log votes with timestamps at a central server that could uncover classic gems like hundreds of votes being cast before the polls open or after they close, too.

Let's face it. Requiring legitimate ID WILL surpress a very important part of the dem and leftist voter base. The dead won't be able to vote, and it will keep many dems from being able to vote early and often. After all, when a dem usually votes in different precincts under different names, being forced to get state IDs for each of those identities is quite a hassle.

You are right on about that? What cities are in poverty? The ones controlled by the Liberals for decades.
If the DNC didn't create poverty they'd be out of jobs.

Missouri’s new ID rules — and similar ones adopted last year in Indiana and Georgia — are intended to deter voting by blacks, poor people and other groups that are less likely to have driver’s licenses.

I think the writer left out children, felons and dead people. Plus this statement isn't true.
