where the 2 comes from. What's odd about the 2 in Qana 2 is that it isn't written like the rest of the font. The Arabic numbers are different, a 2 should look like a backward 7. Not that they wouldn't know the other system, but they went to the trouble of putting together this huge banner and then they tack on a 2 like that.

Could be most hezballah "stunts" are pre-planned..
Isreal is busy looking for missle sites.. and staging areas.. for disassembly..
This big sign(bannar) casts doubt on the hizzies motives..
Big or little all hizzies motives are the same..
Appear to be an army when you are just a "gang"..
An army has cache' a gang shows extreme tribal weakness..
The Pali's appear to be very democratic.. i.e. Mob Rule..
Raised from children to be mobsters..

The 2 is in Western font for the benefit of the Euroweenies and leftist media.

I believe the children were placed there on purpose.
But I also know that the Hezzies love to make banners and that most likely a Hezzie owns one of these print shops and a banner this size can be created and completed in less that 2 hours. It does not takes days or many hours to create and print. It is not that complicated, not if you are a hezzie who owns a banner print shop with a super wide ink jet printer. The ink does not need time to dry, putting grommets into a banner only takes a few minutes, and most of all the equipment is not that expensive.
If you want to ask someone about how fast and easy it is to throw together the design in Photo Shop, ping REGISTERED to this thread.

Ah, you guys are all wet.
"Ink-Jet printers..." Heck, have you forgotten what part of the world you're talking about?
That's just a big, woven Persian carpet. As to the speed of its production, that's simple;
They used Warp speed. And Weft speed.

Good morning.
"The banner could have been produced in the time frame given, with a certain degree of readiness"
Sure, I understand that and I'm open to all possibilities on this.
What I was asking our two fellow FReepers was whether or not they believe Israel did it by accident or on purpose, as opposed to Cana being a Hezbollah trick to use the western media. Both repeatedly tried to prove that the banner could have been made in the given time frame, but said little about the possibility that the incident was an example of misinformation being used by Hezbollah.
I used to think that the truth will always surface but I'm not so sure now.

maybe you should goggle printing companies in Lebanon, Lebanon is not as primitive as some of you folks think.

I wasn't a supporter of Rice for President or Vice President. But if terrorists fear her this much, I may need to reconsider.
This Qana scenario sounds suspiciously like that jet liner that veered toward an American battleship during the first phase of the Gulf War (91 or 92). Remember? I'm not positive about the details of when, but we shot it out of the sky and in the sea around the wreckage were lots of bloated, pale, unmarked bodies, floating (which means they'd been dead for some time). The idea then was that Iraq loaded the plane with older corpses in order to have it shot down for propaganda purposes.

I don't get how this banner is tied to Qana.
Sorry if I missed something, I haven't had time to thoroughly read the thread... but what is it in the banner that references Qana? Is there a translation?
How do we know this wasn't made two years ago or two weeks ago?

A banner of this size and quality could be easily produced in the time allotted. The hard part would be getting the banner to Lebanon in time from the New York Times printing facility!

Good morning.
"I believe the children were placed there on purpose."
Thanks, that was my question.
There is such an abundance of other evidence to support the theory that Hezbollah created the incident that the banner becomes of interest only.

graphic that was already in the works
I believe I said that.
As far as "anyone who can print pictures", it's simple as long as you understand proportion and size ratios. I can't tell you how many times I have people give me a square graphic and expect to print it in a rectangle with no distortion, layout changes, or cropping.
This was a professionally made sign with the graphics done by an experienced graphic designer.

Isn't this like the story of Rita Hayworth and the matador? They had no sooner finished making love, when the guy jumped up, put on his clothes, and started to tear out of there.
"Where are you going?", she cried out after him.
"To go talk about it," he replied.
In the case of Qana, where it took hours for rescuers to get there, and would have taken hours to dig up survivors and victims, the "rush to print" is unseemly.
Also, what do we hear from survivors and witnesses?

Good morning.
As I remember the film, all of the bodies were also intact, as seems to be the case in the Cana bombing, and nude.
Also, didn't the airliner's transponder identify it as a fighter bomber (F-14?)?

I think the Israelis bombed a legitimate target. Don't fire rockets and missiles from civilian locations if you don't want your civilians to get hurt. On the other hand, if your nihilistic nature sees civilian deaths as a tool, well, there you have it.
