... it's hard to see how the ACLU is anything but friendly to Christian values. I think they meant "unfriendly."

Here is a blogger on the Huffington Post...
............
But here's the issue that starts and stops the discussion for me. This past Sunday Michael Schiavo said this:
Not only did Joe Lieberman support the illegal political intervention in the private and legally protected decisions of my family, he went out of his way to defend it. On national television. So when I thought about going to Connecticut to remind voters what Joe Lieberman really thinks about family values and personal privacy, I didn't have to think too long.

Haleigh Poutre update...Just after many of us thought Haleigh Poutre was safe and sound and we start to forget...
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- State officials have told the mother of a brain-injured girl who became the focus of a right-to-die fight that she cannot visit her daughter in a rehabilitation hospital, the woman and her lawyer said Monday.
Allison Avrett was last scheduled to visit her 12-year-old daughter, Haleigh Poutre, on Aug. 1 at the Franciscan Hospital for Children in Boston. But she received a call from the Department of Social Services the night before telling her that visit and future visits were off indefinitely, Avrett said.
"They said the visit had to be canceled because of Haleigh's needs," Avrett said. "But they couldn't tell me what was going on."

The blogger's sister died of cancer, and that's sad. Terri Schiavo died of judicially ordered dehydration and starvation. That was more than sad. That was unjust, and barbaric, and evil.

Oh, blast, I hate to see Haleigh still under the thumbs of those Massachusetts bureaucrats -- the same ones who once asked to kill her. Wendy Murphy is right, Haleigh's mother's visits have been therapeutic. (Remember, Haleigh was responsive during the visits, played with stuffed animals and stroked her mom's hair.) The thing children need most is their parents' love. They do not need bureaucrats.
If somebody starts a Save Haleigh Poutre fund to get that child OUT OF THERE and into a safe facility, I'll stand in line to send a check.

Michael's own idea of family values is killing his wife so that he can silence her, inherit her estate, and marry his floozie -- all in private, of course. It gets so awkward when you have to torture her to death with the whole world watching in horror.

Sad to see that many who have real tragedies can in their frail and malleable emotions come to quite opposite conclusions to the delight of the left.
The left have a bent for reveling over genuine victims of tragedies and shifting the thrust in the diametric opposite as a weapon against us, Cindy Sheeham being the classic.
That way they purport to take the "high moral ground", something they cannot even understand.

I hope so too. Michelle will certainly remember Haleigh. And right now especially, Haleigh needs friends who have a voice to the world.

This would be a good moment to remember the C. S. Lewis classic, MERE CHRISTIANITY. Even people who choose amoral ideologies have to appeal to the same moral standards that are ingrained in every human being. This built-in moral code is like a window to our real origin and nature. We are children of the one God. The Left may shut this out of their minds and deny it with their tongues, but they must appeal to godliness with their hearts.

Where is a safe facility?
That should be the thrust of our efforts. Building
safe houses for the medically vulnerable could actually
be a viable financial concern if enough pro-life
staff could be found to staff them.
It should be our prayer that the christian model of
medicine will have a renaissance!
If only some of the Gates billions could go to helping
the disabled instead of killing them prior to birth.

Besides Crist's hiding from the issue on Schiavo, he is a class warfare specialist, he uses anti-business populist rhetoric to make himself look like a liberal.
I don't trust him.
Vote Gallagher.

8mmmauser, the St. Pete Times' headline is erroneous. Camp Gallagher is not contemplating dropping out. If he did, supporters like me have no plans on voting for Crist in the general. Crist helped kill an innocent person. He should be impeached for violations he committed as Fla AG.
The St. Pete Times is really for Jim Davis but they are trying to get the republicans out of the way first. I can imagine they are holding back all kinds of dirt on Crist should he win the GOP primary.
IMO, it's either Governor Gallagher or Governor Davis.

I'm sure somewhere on the worldwide web, the aclu has a message board cheering for Charlie Crist. The AARP and the ACLU are a package deal that Floridians will be stuck with if they are stupid enough for support Crist.
ACLU-CRIST, believe it. Crist's closest allies are leftists with marxist leanings.
