" ..Israel will pay with many, many, many, more civilian lives than were lost in that airstrike. "

The Israeli Ministry of Defense has a partial list of those killed by the religion of peace the past few years.
http://www.mfa.gov.il/MFA/Terrorism-+Obstacle+to+Peace/Palestinian+terror+since+2000/Victims+of+Palestinian+Violence+and+Terrorism+sinc.htm
They list the names, ages and circumstances of their deaths-
it is staggering.
I knew about the bombings in restaurants and buses and pizza parlors and shoppings malls.
But, I did not realize how many ordinary Israelis were killed by sniper fire and drive bys during the course of their everyday lives.
Proportional to the population-the losses are enormous.
Israel has been enduring a slow motion 9/11 for years .

This is the closest I've found to a Yammouni near the Bekka Valley: Latitude 34° 7' 60N, Longitude 36° 1' 0E. It's also called Al Yammunah, El Yammoune,El Yammoune, and Al Yammunah. What's the significance of this town?

do you really think that not a single rocket will be fired from Lebanon into Israel tonight/tomorrow?

If they were smart they would just stop. Can you just imagine the outcry from the media, UN and other non-US countries if Hizbullah stopped firing rockets for 24-48 hours and then the IAF continued with its air campaign. If Hizbullah wants out this is the perfect (and perhaps last) opportunity to do so

I fear that this war may be over, and we just lost.

We've only lost for now. We may even lose a few more times. It will take a major attack on American soil or an Iranian nuke strike in Israel before the Western World wakes up. This is just warm-up to the World War that will most certainly come.

Right now, Western Civilization is in denial. No one wants a massive global conflict. I do think that many people, whether they like Israel or not would agree that a country has a right to defend itself if it was attacked, unprovoked by an enemy that was based in a neighboring country. The Western world at this time is in 'Neville Chamberlain mode' They really want 'Peace In our time' but by capitulating to a ruthless enemy they have caused the enemy to become bolder over time.

A World War starting in the Mid-East will have disastrous economic consequences for the entire world. The price of oil would go up to 200 or 300 dollars a barrel. This would wreck the economies of virtually all the Western nations. After experiencing shortages, runaway inflation and high-unemployment the public might be ready to get on with this War and sentiment would change to destroy the enemy completely. This will happen, but it will end up costing more lives and money than it would have had we dealt with these problems earlier.

Right now the Average Westerner (or American, for that matter) doesn't want this. They are too comfortable in their lives and have more important things on their mind like taking the kids to baseball games and planning their last summer getaway. Who has time for war when there are more important things like a Beach and Disney World to attend to?

When this is escalated to the point where it actually affects the average American or Westerner personally, then they will not only want a war, THEY WILL DEMAND IT. For now, this is a distant conflict that they are happy not to be engaged in because it has no immediate consequences for them.

Besides, the Liberal media has caused the massive War-Weariness we are witnessing these days.

Could be Israel is allowing the evacuation of the remaining 'civilians' in S. Lebanon so that the next time the cry goes out "you've killed women and children!!", the a LOUD response should be "WHY were they there? We suspended operations so you could move them." This is a visible bow to the 'civilians', so that the blame can go directly where is should if anymore are killed. JMO.
