Unfortunately, "him" is interchangeable with Mel and Jesus. As usual, Jesus is innocent.
rim shot, please.
Cops could pile on charges almost at will if they desired.
Even under such circumstances that would not be considered a extraordinary "incident" to the arrest.
"I know Mel has had drinking problems in the past, but this does not mean he said any of the garbage he is reported to say per this article posted here. I for one have no intention of believing it unless it comes from reliable sources."
Same here, I just want everyone prepared, and learning that he is an alcoholic helps us be prepared for any shocking discrepancies between his general state as a man, or creative artist, and possible actions while drunk.
He defied Hollyweird
Everyone deserves at least ONE indiscretion
There other stars who have done worse, hollywood does not like Mel because he dared defy them..you go MEL GIBSON!
Yea, living with a saint must be pretty tough for us mere mortals. Don't worry about it, BIGGUY...you need to get out of SoCal more often than you're probably doing...meet with more of the regular folk out there...I'll do you good!
In the eyes of the Church, you've done nothing wrong...just make sure you confess your sin..and move on...to the next pub.
I have a hard time believing this. Sounds like "National Enquirer" reporting.
You're right...who knows what he was under the influence of...your true self comes out when you're under the influence, unfortunately. The fact he allegedly sai, I'm F**Ked makes me believe this story.
He could have been under the influence of something else as well.
EGO
Mel Gibson is NO friend of GWB and his admin so I don't know why some of you are backing him.
Look what he said

>> I have a hard time believing this part
>>"F-----g Jews. The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world," Mee's report quotes him as saying.
Why do you have a hard time believing that? Mel was, after all, brought up by a dad who (according to his own writings) believes that sort of thing (he's also a holocaust denier).
Mel is probably, normally, a rational guy. He has probably shaken off those beliefs, but stuff that's ingrained in you as a kid, tends to surface when you drink too much.
I can't imagine why a cop would invent that stuff. With a .12 blood test they had plenty to justify arrest & charging, there would have been no need to add stuff.
Have you seen any movies,in your lifetime, however long that may be,that were antisemitic or anti-Jewish or anti-zionist or anti-Israel? Please name them if you have.
BTW,I am not talking about movies that if I were a religious Jew,I would hate because of the crass portrayal of Jews, like "Here Come the Fokkers".Bottom line, movies like that are just attempts to convince the masses that free love, psychotherapy and liberal views are the key to a wonderful, uninhibited life where everyone would be happy and good and be kind to one another.
>>>I don't know why some of you are backing him.<<<
Because he made a very good movie about Jesus. So a sinful, stumbling human being was inspired and created a beautiful thing. Thus has it been for all of human history.
But we must not confuse the man with his brilliant creation.
Da Vinci, Van Gogh, Beethoven, etc.
So often our idols have feet of clay.
The police report is a matter of public record. Anyone can get a copy of it. I will not believe thats what happened until I read the report.
Totally agree...I would ask those who are refusing to believe this a very simple question...how on earth would a group of officers even think of this stuff to make it up? ...and saying one officer did make it all up, all the other officers would just go along with it?!?
None so blind, as those who will not see.

I don't think ANYBODY "deserves" the right to DUI. You could kill somebody -- then what would you say?
We all dumped on Patrick Kennedy after he drove drunk (or under the influence of SOMETHING) -- righteously so -- why should we feel any different about Gibson because he's made some movies we like?
Personally I don't care if he gets drunk as a skunk at home every night -- but, Mel, STAY OFF THE ROAD!!!! If you need to get somewhere and you are drinking, you are rich enough, get a driver.
It occurs to me -- if Mel could even continue to drive at .12 (even badly) it indicates he's developed a pretty high tolerance. Which means he drinks way too much. He needs rehab, ASAP.
No, that's Dick Morris' line. ;)
