Democrats are deeply saddened.
About dang time.
Voter ID requirement = less fraud all around. Now if we can only get to the point were the voter registration lists are totally PURGED on Jan 1st following a Federal election. This would require voters to re-register every 2 years and provide ID when they do so.
This'll flush out the trash.
Hard to argue with that...

The only photo ID that proves US citizenship is a passport.
Do we really want everyone to be required to have a passport to vote!
Finally, a Bill that will show everyone just who believes in America and who believes in communism.
..let's wait to see what gets added to the Bill that makes people vote against it....thats the way politico's getting around being held accountable. Why I just couldn't vote for something like that...ahummmm..I mean, enforcement would be completely impossible....ahummmm...why, why,,, we just couldn't do it. In a clear conscious, I mean....ahummmm ..it's all BS
Doogle
If that's what it takes then, "Yes, I do!"
Sounds like a perfectly reasonable proposal and long overdue.
No. But very few countries in this world allow voting without valid photo ID proving citizenship. A drivers license SHOULD be enough proof, but that forces issuing states to only issue licenses to U.S. Citizens. I support that too.
Tancredo in '08!!
"Do we really want everyone to be required to have a passport to vote!"
I think this will tie in with the RFID ID card they've been flogging. Hell, let's just skip the BS and get the chip.
Are these Congressman supporters?
I believe that they are the 104 members of the Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus.
are these the bill's cosigners?
