Verse 1: Eternal Father, strong to save,
Whose arm hath bound the restless wave,
Who bidd'st the mighty ocean deep
Its own appointed limits keep;
Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee,
For those in peril on the sea!
Verse 2: O Christ! Whose voice the waters heard
And hushed their raging at Thy word,
Who walked'st on the foaming deep,
And calm amidst its rage didst sleep;
Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee,
For those in peril on the sea!
Verse 3: Most Holy Spirit! Who didst brood
Upon the chaos dark and rude,
And bid its angry tumult cease,
And give, for wild confusion, peace;
Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee,
For those in peril on the sea!
Verse 4: O Trinity of love and power!
Our brethren shield in danger's hour;
From rock and tempest, fire and foe,
Protect them wheresoe'er they go;
Thus evermore shall rise to Thee
Glad hymns of praise from land and sea.
Thank you for the opportunity for some reflective sweet thinking to the tune of Amazing Grace on the bagpipes.

I would say 'God bless,' but our Father has already blessed this man beyond words. Thus I will say 'thank you,' and hope to achieve even a fraction of what this great man has accomplished in (and with) his life.
It is men (and women) like this that made America great, and it is men (and women) like this that will ensure America's greatness in the future (as long as such people still walk the land). Furthermore it is such people who make the world a better place, at times through sacrifice, other times through hard work and applied effort; at times through ingenuity and brilliance, and some times simply by hanging on in the face of overwhelming adversity when there is absolutely no reason to. Hanging on.
For this I say thank you. And as a Kenyan who has spent a third of his life in the US let me also add thatit is people like you that make me proud to call myself American in spirit. Once again, I'd say God bless, but instead I'll say 'thank you Lord, and thank you Master Chief Brashear. Sail on. Thank you.'
