"UNA/UNSO - an organization you have supported and defended on FR "
That is not true and nobody here is sruprised.
Now, as you were quite young when your dad was in Viet Nam, what foreign war against communism did you fight in prior to 1988?
Not if you're tragically pompous.
You have made statements in support of UNA/UNSO - support for their actions during WWII when they assisted the Nazis, support for them during the "Orange Revolution" and defended them when their fascist leanings were exposed on here. Nonetheless, if you now claim you do not support them, why don't you condemn this statement:
"In late 2004 the movements leaders issued an appeal to Ukrainian troops serving in Iraq as part of the U.S.-led coalition to turn your bayonets against U.S. troops and join the rebels (UPI, November 12, 2004)."
You've had plenty of chances to condemn this statement by Shikl, a guy in a group you admire and support. HE's calling for the deaths of Americans - Can you not condemn this? Or do you tacitly support it, since it's from your organization?
PS - Learn some history about the US and the fight against communism post Vietnam War and then ask an intelligent question. Perhaps then I may answer you, but if you actually knew the history of the US and the Cold War the answers would be very easily found.
Att: All Freepers,
Compare the following "talking points directive" issued by the Kremlin after a "mad slasher" incident with the subsequent post by jb6 and Romanov on the same day.
The following is the Kremlin confidential directive to link the opposition party with the synagogue slasher.

"The objectives of media reaction.....
maximum connection of the party Rodina with nationalist ideology and placing the responsibility for what is happening on the party;"

"One interesting thing to come out of this despicable act is Rodina and its leader Rogozin were very quick to condemn in very harsh language the skinhead and those who think like him. (Remember - this was a party accused of being anti-semitic [with good reason])."
"I've been a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars since 1988, "
So when you joined the army "to fight communism", what foreign war did you fight in?
I don't know of any that would qualify after VietNam (where your father fought when you were too young.)
That's hilarious, what you really meant to write was:
"Att: All Freepers, my name is Spanalot and I'm using a Russian Nationalist/Communist newspaper, "Zavtra" to make a point about two American military veterans because they do not agree with my statements about UNA/UNSO - an organization I (spanalot) support that later appealed to Ukrainian soldiers to kill American soldiers. Therefore, I have decided to use a newspaper article written by people who hate the United States to smear American military members. I found said article from "Zavtra" on a Ukrainian socialist site called www.maidanua.org . Please try to forget that this very site, and the people who run it, have called President Bush and Republicans "Morons." As long as it continues to help me forward my myopic ethic based hatred, I will continue to use it. Sincerely, Spanalot"
"I don't know of any that would qualify after VietNam (where your father fought when you were too young.)"
Hmm. Interesting comments Spanalot - and bely your deep-seated resentment against American military members (you still refuse to condemn a Ukrainian organization that has called for our military guys to be killed). So, let me restate your position as you describe it - no actions against the Communists are worth mentioning after Vietnam. Perhaps you might want to rethink that position? And while you are at it, you might want to apologize to the families of American servicemembers who died fighting communism POST Vietnam.
And you'd be a dear if you could explain how you can even call yourself an "anti-communist" when you were galavanting around the Soviet Union on a "tourist vacation" while real American heros were fighting communists in the jungles of Vietnam.
"no actions against the Communists are worth mentioning after Vietnam."
Well, what conflicts were you in? We know that you are a VFW and that you joined the Army to fight communism. What foreign conflict did you fight in?
I'm just trying to help you with your credibility issue and not sure why you take it personally.

My credibility isn't questioned by anyone of merit - which is to say, you are the only one questioning my credibility and my service. Hardly necessary for me to justify myself to someone who supports a foreign government (Ukraine) and a neo-fascist movement within said government (UNA/UNSO). Try again - next time do a little more research before you make stupid claims or accusations. You might want to ask yourself a.) why others can figure out who I am by using Google and you can't, and b.) why you find it necessary to "vet" the VFW's membership eligibility.
Other than the UNA/UNSO what vets organizations are you eligbile for? Komsomol? Or better yet -tell me what your profession is and what you do. You're extremely persistent in asking for personal information but offer little in exchange. Or should I call the American Communist Party and ask for your membership number?
Just another attempt by Buchanan to smear President Bush. If I could, I'd vote to require "pantload warnings" to be placed on every Buchanan post.
It's clear that whatever this 'spanalot' supports its not the United States, the Armed forces of the United States, nor conservatism. What is this baffoon doing on a conservative site? Doesn't this liberal anti-American 'Zavtra' publication have a forum for these folks?
