Our father, we lift our prayers to you for the people of Israel, for the safety and endurance of their armed forces going into battle, and for those soldiers and innocents who have been taken. We pray for the courage and steadfastness of the Israeli leaders, and for that of our own leaders. We pray especially for your guidance and comfort for our President, who carries an even heavier burden now.

We pray for innocents throughout the Middle East whose lives are lost or damaged because of senseless rage and hatred in their culture, regardless of their nationality. May they be protected from any who would use them for selfish gain.

We pray for your guidance and counsel for our own soldiers around the world, especially those in Iraq who seem especially vulnerable right now. We pray that this conflict will have the best outcome for people who wish only to live in peace, whatever that outcome may be.

Finally we lift our prayer that power-mad dictators will fail in their evil intentions, regardless of where those dictators are.

Father, thank you that you are in control and will protect your beloved, Israel. Please be with the innocents at this time or war. Be with our leaders that they would support Israel and come to her aid as needed. Help us all to stand strong in the face of evil and to have the fortitude to do what must be done to put an end to the evil for once and for all. In Jesus' holy name we pray. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father - Thank you for watching over Israel. Thank you, as always, for watching over us too. We know what your Word tells us and we ask for your patience as we watch things unfold, as your timing is perfect. Please grant mercy to all of Israel, her political powers, her military, and her people. Also, please grant wisdom and courage to our leaders as they intervene in these affairs. Protect any Americans who may be in Israel, Lebanon, or any country right now where the terrorists hold sway. Remind us daily, dear Lord, that we Christians are merely the branch of the tree, but most of all, Father, thank you for your son, Y'Shua, who came and died that we might have everlasting life.
