What about the IAF? Nothing moves in Lebanon without the Israeli's implicit permission. Heck, they BUZZED Assad's Syrian summer palace last week! Do you really think Hezbollah could march the captured Israeli soldiers through the Beirut airport and onto a Syrian plane to Iran?

Go figure, I always looked at water as something to wash with and beer, wine and booze for quenching your thirst.
My flawed philosophy has always been "Make sure we got enough gin, we'll worry about water later....."

The more concrete between you and the outside walls, the better.
Valium for sleeping (these events tend to elicit a nonstop adrenaline rush).

I heard earlier that the Lebanese ports were under blockade by the Isreali navy, so that may not be an option.

The airport tarmacs and fuel tanks were hit to prevent Syria from resupplying HEzbollah. It's that simple.

You quoted that out of context. It was in response to someone suggesting getting to the nonexistent Lebanon-Turkey border (you'd need to go through Syria anyway, and through some marginal areas near Tripoli that the State Department warned not to travel to even before this conflict began).
What I said was SHORT OF HUNKERING DOWN, it would be better to try to get to Amman than be stranded again in Damascus should the situation further escalate. With the Beirut-Damascus road being bombed, that's not the best option right now.
To: rebel_yell2
Stay safe, keep your head down and pray. You will be fine, just wound a little tight for the next few days. Contact the embassy for evacuation plans and don't be out if you don't have to.
May you never be more than a breath away from God's saving arm around your shoulders and may his angels keep you from harm. In Jesus name.
