My thread was taken down, and only the barest information added to the main article of this thread, in the headline, so here is the latest:

We have several groups joining with us, including Caucus for America and the Congress of Racial Equality, and some high-visibility speakers. We are reaching out to other groups and other speakers, and more information will be posted as we receive it.

The place has not been firmly decided, but it will almost certainly be in the Times Square area.

Please keep bumping this thread, since it is not in the Activism Sidebar.

I like Nina's suggestion of a noon weekday FReep of their DC office.

Unfortunately, I will be out of town during the week of July 10 (not in NYC for that event). If not already committed to be elsewhere, I would do the NYC FReep.

I could probably make it down to a DC FReep on July 5th or 6th. Failing that, July 17 & 19-21 work for me, but that may be too much delay.

Despite all that, don't schedule any FReep based on my availability.

The groups on board so far are Free Republic, Caucus for America, and the Congress for Racial Equality. We have reached out to several other groups as well, and are waiting to hear back from them.
