Oh, I fully support that freedom. But I'm sure you can appreciate those who fear that tyranny can take on many faces. I suspect however, that the other activity and practice you refer to is equally protected, some under the very same Amendment protecting religious freedom.
As such, even the absurd, e.g. homosexual marriage ceremonies, can, has happened, and happens -never possibly to be prohibited by the government...
Oh, I'm not much concerned about it. I think most states are pretty comfortable in such prohibitions. Well, of course they can't prohibit the ceremonies, but they can prohibit state recognition.
Your theory is as such rendered but a meaningless foray into presenting the impossible as possible -with such possibility then fear mongering among the very small minority of religious homosexual proponents that may per chance peruse FR...
True, many of the real conservatives have abandoned it, but many still remain. But I also frequently resort to letters to the editor and do write my congressmen and senators from time to time also. The fight against extremism from both ends of the spectrum seems to be never ending, especially in an election year. I'm sure you can appreciate that.
