"Now I think he wishes he had not taken a blanket view that everything his father did was wrong," said Bruce Buchanan, a University of Texas professor who has closely studiedstalked the Bush family.

He said the inhumane treatment of Iraqi prisoners at Baghdad's Abu Ghraib prison was one of the darkest marks on his watch.Symptomatic of being totally pu**y-whipped by the MSM.

Exact same place as his dad? Gee, I didn't know his dad served a second term.

an uncertain economic outlook This tells you all you need to know about this article.

I don't think he did EVERYTHING differently. The problem is that they both played to a liberal audience and stuck a finger in the eye of their base.

A far more subdued Bush now acknowledges some major (mistakes) "They include "kind of tough talk, you know, that sent the wrong signal to people," Bush said at a Thursday news conference..." I think the opposite is true, Bush usually refrains from making the case for Iraq strongly enough, instead leaving the floor to his enemies, who never stop being tough in making their case. However, this was specifically one of his father's mistakes as well, Bush Sr. declined to talk forcefully about the economy during his second run at the presidency, also leaving the floor entirely to his enemies, the Clinton camp, who, as we know, tore him up.

And John Kerry and Algore would have been better presidents? I don't think so.
What we have is the drum beat of a group (liberals) who are having a 6 year hissy fit (8 years when he is done) and they control the MSM, so the beat goes on.
The world is safer now that Saddam is out, Irag is on there way, it will take time but give it that. The situation in the Middle east will always be hostile, the left will never be satisfied with anything done militarily, so what else is new.
As the saying goes George W Bush is saving there sorry asses if they like it or not.
As for anyone one the right, suck it up and support the president. Dispite not being perfect, he did beat the Rats and needs our backing and prayers.

President Bush Sr. was not reelected and President Bush Jr. was so it has to be a different hole.

Unfortunately, Bush isn't in the same hole as his dad - his dad's hole was much shallower. If the Bush I tax increase was a strip mine, the Bush II amnesty is hell itself.
