California, which does not currently have any coastal fish farms, insures that it never will have this industry.

How long until additional permits are required for that salt-water swimming pool in the neighbor's back yard? Watch out for the halibut!

California is 'way behind Maine, which destroyed its aquaculture industry several years ago.

Probably the intent. Fish farming is a dirty business. Disposing the polluted water can be an environmental hazard.

Insures reflects the establishment of an insurance policy, ensures means that it makes sure.

Please, these are journalists. The huge amounts of time it takes to study left wing politics hardly leaves time for such petty things as grammar.

How far out to sea do you have to go before you're no longer subject to CA state law?

Feel Good legislation from the Left Coast. Asshats. Go out beyond the limit and set up your Fish Farms there. Why is there so much fish in the Gulf? Answer the Oil Rigs have turned out to be Artifical Reef expanding Habit for Fish and Sport Fishing is great near Oil Rigs.

California is Anti-Business, Anti-Family, Anti-Free Markets. Let the God Damned place implode. No common sense there anymore. I am glad I left the place in 1992.

There are so many fish in the gulf becasue of the energy dynamics in the Gulf, not because of the oil rigs providing habitat.

Sunlight+Nutrient availability=planktonic growth=feed=forage=food=nutrients+Sunlight= etc. etc.

3 miles, but the weather and seas are a problem in exposed areas, which is why mariculture is done in remote protected areas like Maine's Passamaquoddy Bay.

Mariculture is a high-risk venture all around, which is why multinationals are the only owners- massive mariculture losses in some years can be offset through diverse investments.

Trust me, my FRiend. They'll imagine a lot more to protect you from before they're done imagining. Things you never even knew you needed protection from.
