So independent terrorists that have no national soil justify the expenditure of 400 million dollars from the United States treasury? Terrorists that could of been dealt with in a matter of hours? I do not think so; Nor would Reagan.
To: Prodn2000
LOL, I guess I was being optimistic, ala Ronald Reagan. We have actually spent 400 BILLION on nation building in the middle east.
To: psjones
Clinton's a big phony. We already have started to forget him.
In 50 years, Historians will not have much to say about him other than scandals.

Yes I agree with you.
Two reasons.
President Bush knows what he's doing.
The war in Iraq is a roach motel. If you're a roach, you go in and don't get out.

If Bush is doing "nationbuilding" in the same way Clinton was, then Truman did touchy-feely "nationbuilding" in Germany and Japan.

Thank you. It is totally conservative to keep supporting this president while trying to stop the amnesty, and I pledge to keep doing it. Thanks for keeping your eyes on the important stuff.

Terrorists that could of been dealt with in a matter of hours? Oh PLEASE enlighten us as to how three plus decades of radical muslim terrorism could be dealt with "in a matter of hours".

Are you delusional? Are we not footing the bill for the infrastructure repairs? Are we not building a huge new US embassy there?
Have we not spent 400 billion on Iraq and Afghanistan?
To: carlr
I mispoke. I meant to say that because the terrorists did not belong to any one nation, that a full scale invasion and occupation perhaps was not the best way to go about it. Obviously you can not solve the problem of terrorism in a matter of hours.

Giving this a much needed BUMP so members can refresh their short memories about the difference between our President and the RATS.
