"Galvan got a job at the Texas governor's mansion just as Bush moved in with his family in 1995. (The White House last week refused to comment on Galvan, except to say that she is a U.S. citizen; White House aides were silent on how she entered the country and what her legal status was at the time.)"

Oh dear, 1995. As recently as that. Could it be that Senora Galvan may have been on someone else's payroll at the time?
Maybe dragging her into the spotlight is the best thing that could happen to free Bush from Fox's invisible collar.
ping
Teddy Roosevelt?? That @#$%^& *#$%!# RINO Neocon!!
It is time to impeach Bush and try him for treason.
Undenialbe truth of life number fifteen: "If you commit a crime, you're guilty."
It's time for you to be called a TROLL.
Well, she's a US Citizen. It certainly isn't uncommon for people in the Southwest to hire Hispanic help. It sounds like a "hit piece" to me. I'll wait for further info. She sounds like a nice lady. Look how good the twins turned out. Mamma Bush found a good helper.
He's probably also unware that 29% of all inmates in our federal prisons are illegal aliens, or that the same percentage of illegals are on welfare, or that 95% of warrants for murder in L.A. are for illegals, or that the third-worlders are bringing their third-world diseases with them.
All the Country Clubbers know is that the people who mow their lawns, cook their food, and clean their homes are nice, hardworking people. .....which of course they are.
"Some people here choose to give President Bush the non-benefit of the doubt, and that blows."
He brings it on himself at every opportunity. In this case, he could avoid all this just by telling the whole truth about his housekeeper, but instead he leaves it open in such a way as to encourage cynicism.
There are many good people like her. The problem is, they now make up only about 30% of those coming across the border. I know, I grew up here and I love the Mexican people who have always been a part of this country. Even THEY will tell you that there are too many coming across and now they are not assimilating into the American culture. Instead, they are bringing a new, urban poor, third word culture to America and they are dragging the good people down with them.
I've seen the stats. They're horrifying. One stat I'd like to see is the ratio of regular people escaping poverty, vs criminals and other than Hispanics who happen to be terrorists. I'll be we'd either need to start drinking or sober up.
I will say that the housekeeper is a citizen, and doesn't deserve the hell on a platter due to be served to her.
What about it?
It would be refreshing if somebody knew how to play this game, wouldn't it?
Bush is way off the rails on this one. He should be thinking like a President, not a friend.
Suicide-by-moderator?
Mathprof2, we hardly knew ye. :-P
You said that President Bush should be impeached and tried for treason, why don't you explain that, trollio? You are calling President Bush a traitor to this country. President Bush has had 1000 tons of crap on his plate since becoming POTUS, but because he hasn't perfectly resolved the border problem (as if any past president has) you call him a traitor?
Even if she was illegal, the majority of the country was oblivious to illegals in 95, now it's all Bush's fault.
