Exactly.
Isn't there any law on the books that allow the drilling of ANWR for reasons of national security?
Who would have the cajones to oppose that?
HEAR!! HEAR!!
Was it? I thought they were just discussing that, but voting on it later. The another Dem was talking about becoming a co-sponsor.
It is true!!!!!!!!1
This comment isn't a death threat.
No one calls the President a liar to my face and lives to tell about it!
I suspect the poster said something he really didn't mean to say. That is the way it looks to me. Some time back, on another thread a poster did not accurately read a reply and took the reply as an insult to her grandmother. I think that poster may still be in a snit over something that was not really said.
Pardon me.
I don't paticularly consider it my duty to defend Senate Republicans. Other than Sessions. You can consider that your job.
Maybe it's due to my growing up during the great depression, but $150.00, just doesn't sound like chump change to me.
"That is a common misconception by the single issue crowds...they mistake loud of large. I've known many infants that were loud all out of proportion to their size...they too made demands. Most of them grew up."
Tax hawks were not infants in 1992.
They were as large as they were loud, and they put a bullet in the head of the tax-raising GOP.
Never happened again.
Pro-lifers were not infants with Miers in 2005.
They were as large as they were loud, and Bush & Co. knew it and put up Alito.
BorderBots are probably as large as they are loud, but why take the risk? To "teach them a lesson"? What would that be? That a wide-open border is good? If the resistance is simply based on a refusal to cave into political pressure, when the consequences of loss are so dire, I'd say it's a bad gamble.
Anyway, we'll see in the coming weeks the extent to which the President and Senate or the House of Representatives gauge the real strength of the BorderBots.
I hold out hope for a full fence THIS year, so that we can win THIS year, because I think the BorderBots are as numerous as they are loud.
If I'm right and we follow my strategy of caving and giving them their fence, what have we lost?
But even if you're right and we don't give them their fence, and eke out a win and hold onto Congress, what have we gained? Essentialy open borders and backdoor amnesty. Why is that a good thing? Just to "Show 'em?", Warrant?
Sessions's amendment was passed today!
150.00 means alot too some of us.
Canada is providing us with airlines manifests of Canadian flights coming into the U.S. We have specifically requested that they share with us passenger manifests for flights coming into Canada from other countries because of their lack of surveillance of those two sites.
As for assuming that they are under observation, I seriously doubt that. Canada and it's laws are unique in those areas...and decidedly have not been pro-U.S. either.

I see, "The VFA-143 Pukin' Dogs is a US Navy strike fighter squadron flying the F/A-18E Super Hornet."
Much better mental image. Easy to remember, that's for sure. About 2,000 posts so far, not bad for a days work. Well done Pukin' Dog.
Great post, really needed to be said. From now on, I will do my best to adhere to a code of honor and civility, and apologize for any rudeness that I've shown to any other FReeper over this issue. Heated emotions are no excuse.

I laughed at the absurdity of gas being so expensive.
I used to bum $1.00 for gas from my pop to go joy riding on. Ahhh, the good old days.
Get yourself a good stiff drink. There is something here to "pee" off just about everyone.
Then again, some children never grow up and keep on throwing their tantrums and making their demands.
