That's a large part of my outrage over this issue. Our "overlords" don't really need to worry about that ugly little angle."overlords" ignore it all. They should ALL go to jail.

Aww, crud. Now he's talking about my kid's job at Pizza Hut. Yea, you got it. No US kids should be working, 'cause we've got others who need that job.

A mixed bag.
Still, call it what you will, but this pseudo-amnesty BS is still rewarding criminals.
Screw our current government. We've been sold out again.

Arm Chair Quarterbacking makes good web-sport but the responsibility of the free world isn't so easy. Amen, there is no simple answer to the problem, this sounds like a start.

"AMNESTY - BUSH SAYS ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS PAY A FINE - PAY BACK TAXES - AND APPLY"
That's a dramatic change from what he proposed in January 2004. I guess GWB has "evolved".

Yep, IMHO, he is doing just fine
Me, too. And I was criticizing President Bush earlier. I don't have a real problem with anything proposed by the President tonight, and I like some of it very much.

I have been a Republican for as long as I can remember and a strong supporter of President Bush, but for the first time, I find it difficult to take any of this speech seriously. Less than too, little, too late.
Sounds like Clinton or Kerry. I'm against amnesty, but I'm for a path to citizenship.
Maybe this is Saturday Night Live.

I am not upset with this speech, I think this is reasonable, and I think this is very important. What the democrats have taught us is incrementalism works. He has made a solid foray with good conservative steps with compromise being on our terms, not theirs. I think this is a home run.
