Because everyone else here is trashing them - I defend the defendless - I give a voice to the voiceless.
I am not a Seattle city attorney - I also don't think it's a good idea to jail priests for saying Mass and handing out Holy Communion for illegal aliens - any more questions?

That's spiritual, not material, support. If, say, the priests cross the line and provide illegals with false documents or false witness, then they should go to jail, and I think most would agree. Perhaps, after covering for the rapists in their own ranks, sheltering criminals has become second nature to many in the US Catholic church, but that shouldn't exempt them from prosecution.
I write this as a lifelong Catholic.
As for defending the defenseless, I would hardly call illegal aliens defenseless:
* They are defended by the city of Seattle, which refuses to allow police to ask for immigration status of anyone who appears to be an illegal alien. They are defended by the ACLU, which will not protect the rights of anti-abortion protesters.
* They are defended by the Catholic church, which will not defend the rights of the boys its homosexual priests have raped. They are defended by big business, which will not defend the rights of American workers.
* They are defended by our public schools, which teach them in their own language - foreign to us - at our expense. They are defended by hospitals, which treat them without cost at our expense.
* They are defended by the Democratic party, which demands for them legal status and superior privileges - affirmative action - to which the majority has no entitlement.
* They are defended by George Bush, who says that deporting illegal aliens is "unrealistic."
* And finally, they are defended by people like you, who are willing to deny the rights of Americans to defend themselves against these so-called "defenseless" illegal aliens.
So you tell me, who really was defenseless? The massed formation of illegal aliens with their police escort, or the few Americans who were thrown in jail for opposing them?
