Another HR person here : ) Spoke to hubby and he said that all of the Mexican workers on his job (commercial electrical construction) failed to show up today and didn't bother to call in. He said his boss won't fire them, as they have a "right" to protest. I called "BS", Texas is an "at-will" state, they don't have a "right" to be employed. It just disheartens me that employers are putting up with this crap.
Yes she was a very sweet, and pleasant girl who carried herself with grace. You most likely know that she played a role on the Andy Griffith Show too .
She must be a very decent human being. Sometimes that stuff comes right through the characters being portrayed.
I loved "Father Knows Best". I was the youngest of three children (32 months apart/Mom and Dad didn't waste a lot of time) in my family, and the Anderson family was somewhat like ours........... my older brother was "Bud" and really, my sister was "Princess".
I guess I was the runt....
;-)
Good question.. to which the answer could be scary..
Lets see; George Bush activily IMPORTING multi millions of prospective proto type democrats, ON PURPOSE.. The boy is adamant about replenishing democrat voter roles..
While republicans generally are OBLIVIOUS.. drooling tongue hanging out OBLIVIOUS.. The democrats are genious's.. The more they attack Dubya the more republicans close ranks to support making republicans the minority.. Pure genious..
Current, Republican Party Platform;
DUUgH, I'm a man, but I can change, I guess, if have to..
Authorities had urged students to stay in school but there were numerous absences. The Santa Ana Unified School District, for example, reported 3,000 middle and high school students missed class.
In Los Angeles, Lincoln High School senior Nallely Bravo, 18, and her 16-year-old sister, Sarahi, arrived about a half hour early Monday to a campus that was only sparsely populated.
"There's nobody here," said Nallely Bravo
Unreal!!!
Isn't it!
Great article. While driving to my office I cruised through our little town and noticed our brand spanking new Wal-Mart was doing a land office business, as were the local merchants, fast-foods, and our local building boom. The traffic is not changed today. People driving everywhere. Our local community is surviving just fine with this boycott. In other words...business as usual. Capitalism...it works!

A caller into the Beck show this morning said if he had access to a crop dusting plane he would load it with a sleeping agent, spray the thousands of marchers, load the sleeping bodies into trucks, dump them back over the border and to get back into the U.S. would have to prove citizenship. Well, that is one way.
U.S. Citizens must obey laws and must pay taxes. ILLEGALS get a free ride.
I have no argument with that.
Good luck with your up-coming move and your gardening endeavors!
I have never stepped foot in Mexico and probably never will.
There's too much of America to see.

Well, since they are all such exceptional students anyway, I'm sure they can easily make it up without any affect on their impressive grade point averages.
lol...so right!
I bet the L.A. Times won't be printing this piece by Boortz. LOL

Jesus said "Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever does not enter a sheepfold through the gate but climbs over elsewhere is a thief and a robber."
Not sure why you make this comment to me. The quote you put in your post #16 and #18 isn't mine......
