This is BS. A day without immigrants? Heck. I could go for a decade without 'em.

Anybody but me notice that Yahoo has mostly hispanic faces on their home page yesterday and today?
Just an observation.

I think from this day forward I shall no loner eat at resturants that employ these people not from a political stand point but from concerns for health, no telling what one day they might decide to do.

"U.S. Prepares for 'Day Without Immigrants'."
My preparation: my usual two cups of coffee. I don't employ illegals and I don't rely on them. My dream is that a 'day without immigrants' will turn into a decade without them.

This should be a great day to take care of all your business at the DMV............no long lines and not be drowned in a sea of jabbering in Spanish.

Whats funny is these illegals probably stocked up yesterday to prepeare for today which means the economy still got its money.
Also, companies who hire illegals will just drive around and find some other illegal looking for work who dont give two craps about DWI...(that acronym looks eerily like Driving While Intoxicated which isnt far from the truth with illegals).

Idiots.
What people don't buy at Latino stores they'll buy at stores that are open.
What Latinos don't buy today, they'll buy tomorrow instead.
Do they really think this will put even the tiniest of dents in the economy?

New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson said Monday he was concerned that the demonstrations "are going to be a distraction from what the real issue is, and that is the need for comprehensive immigration reform."
Rather than a boycott, immigrants should work to pressure Congress to pass legislation that would allow those already in the country to earn U.S. citizenship, Richardson told CBS' "The Early Show."
Sen. Lamar Alexander (news, bio, voting record), R-Tenn., told CBS that the U.S. should first secure its borders to stem illegal immigration. "I would then prefer to see us come up with some way to let" immigrants here "pay a fine, pay a price, then learn English and get on a path to citizenship."
This is fascinating stuff. On the one side, we have politicians across the board who are deaf to the demands of AMERICANS who want these illegal invaders rounded up and sent home, want our borders secured, and our national sovereignty enforced.
On the other side, we have politicians admitting that a plan to send everyone a check for $100 for gas "doesn't have popular support".
So, apparently, we have a political class with selective hearing. I suggest this: Every politician who is up for re-election this year who suppports the invaders should be booted out of office. Then we can ask the remaining Washington elites "Can you hear us now!!??" And, we can keep booting them out of office until they get the picture - they serve at OUR pleasure - NOT that of illegal invaders!!!!

Protest what?
The fact that they are illegal?

A day without illegals is like a day without constipation.
A day without IMMIGRANTS is actually 365 per year, since the illegals overburden our system to such an extent that we can't GET immigrants we want because the illegal invaders keep stealing their spots.
Got a message for the intruders: screw you.

So far, the only thing I noticed here in Austin, TX is that my commute took me 15 minutes instead of the usual 30+.
If this is what it's like when all the illegals stay home? Then we REALLY need to build that G*DD**M Wall....
LA county statistics published in the LA Times the other day…
Illegals working in agriculture: 3%
Illegals receiving welfare: 29%
Illegals living in HUD housing: 79%
LA county alone spends $9 billion a year on social services for illegals.
But they are only here to do the jobs lazy American Welfare recipients won't do right?
