"By 1945 we were tired of the war"
Blah blah blah- what the hell were we 4 years later with the Berlin embargo, Communist China, and the Russians nuked up thanks to spies within.
That Kremlin propaganda does not cut it anymore.
I like Pattons thoughts better:
"Men, this stuff that some sources sling around about America wanting out of this war, not wanting to fight, is a crock of bullshit."
No he didn't call America fascists he just claimed that the only way for America to start a war with Russia in 1945 would be to turn fascist, because the public would never support it.
One British tank the Rusiians seemed to like were the Canadian produced Valentines.
I have a lot of documentaries/video of the Eastern Front, and various lend- lease vehicles and equipment can be seen quite frequently; they definitely made an significant contribution in that theater.
One thing I have been looking for are actual recordings of Patton speaking, even one version of his famous wartime Third Army speech was faked by a voice actor.
I've only seen one brief clip of him speaking at a celebration after V-E day.
Awww you ole Meanie not wanting to play "what if with the Ideological Kids".
Your prediction is 100% accurate though. Probably drive your bookie bonkers.
Soviet blood then.
Matters not this whole fantasy is just silly.
I don't know what specific load of crap you are referring to but it likely is nothing which would have justified war.
Clueless ideological aspersions do not improve your lack of geopolitical understanding much less vastly increase American force deployment in 1945. There simply was no army of sufficient size to do anything about the Soviets in Europe in 1945. Patton's speculations included him CAUSING a vast increase in our forces. Soviet armies were at least 3 million strong and they had no compunction about TAKING any supplies they might need to fight us.
What brothels were these "kidnapped" from?
There's a very interesting book called "The War Between The Generals" which is very enlightening; it relies heavily on personal dairies and such.
Millions Japanese were saved by the use of the bombs in Japan. The man in charge of their food supply indicated this in later interviews. There was every likelihood of mass suicide attacks as occurred in other Japanese held locales.
Use of the bomb ironically was an act of mercy.
We had TWO bombs and used them against the nation still fighting us. There is no case much less a "closed" one.
Apparently you also have no idea as to how much destruction the Soviet Union suffered and STILL beat the Nazis. Other forces against Hitler were secondary in importance as any comppetent history of the War shows. It had two main theatres the US vs Japan and Germany vs the USSR.
The General was not necessarily bound by his superiors when he could get away with it.
I was never a fan of Ike's.
"I think you underestimate the number of people Stalin would kill just to win."
Stalin was a paranoid schizophrenic - he curled up in a fetal position for 2 weeks when Hitler invaded
and had he done that with Patton, he would have woken up with a peral handled Colt up his butt.

This makes reference to a recording

You are daft - Patton was ordered to stand down to allow the Soviets to reach Berlin first. The US forces were well suppplied and it was the Soviets that were stretced thin.
Plus we had the monopoly on the bomb.
It would have been a lot easier than suffering all the BS with Korea, SE Asia, Berlin, etc.
