I agree.The White House Press Corps is a bunch of snotty pinheads. A smart, articulate Press Secretary could remove their heads without their even realizing it.

Here's the idea... Have Rummy step down from SecDef and become Press Secretary... Since he's been out of the Army for long enough now--Colin Powell move back into government as SecDef (have to be out of active duty or retired so many years before you can be a cabinet level DOD official--per constintutional mandate of Civillian control of the military)

I hope the new press sec is somebody with a low tolerance for idiots. Rummy would be great in that job. Tony Snow, I think, will just bore the press corpse to death.

Scott McClellan did the best job he could ...

McClellan is a decent guy ... however, he was in way over his head. He should have resigned or been replaced early on in Bush's second term.

I think he is loyal, and a true-blue Bushie guy. I think that is why he resigned-to give the President a fresh face to help bolster his poll numbers.
