Same goods that you buy in any other store....Get over it.

CLICK BRAVE NEW FILMS

Now Playing: WAL-MART: The High Cost of Low Price Trailer

In the pass every time things changed folks always came up with a new idea to competr.

Instead of being fat and sassy this generation should some of the old tricky from the pass and update them!

What independent enterprizers should do is get to gather and start out modest like a closed warehouse and rent space and offer different concessions to attract consumers.

Have gimicks where if you aqurie a certain amount you can get a free item or a good discount etc.

Don't let all of box stores have all of the traffic!

When I was kid in Detroit I remember these stores in closed factor space that had all these different kinds of stuff like a department store but very causual!

It was an adventure you never knew what you were going to find there!

These things could work if a community bonded and learn how to play nice!

So, you seem to be admitting you don't know the range in and quality of merchandise they sell.

Wow, you really have a hate for Walmart.
Were you fired from your job as a greeter? hahaha j/k

I know there are a number of Freepers that hate Walyworld, but I have no idea why. Maybe they are all union thugs.

Since I am over 60, I remember the "good old days", but they are gone, and will not come back in my lifetime.
Yes, I love old hardware stores where I can buy one screw
and nails by the pound, but they are few, and far between.

Get use to the fact that big box stores are going to rule.
Mom and Pop stores are GONE WITH THE WIND.

'quality of merchandise'

That statement shows the quality of how low your
purchasing requisites are.

American made products can still be had. Why support China?
Enjoy the drive in your KIA to purchase inferior goods ;-)

****

What do you think warehouse or close factory are empty boxes!

You missed my point it was that in these warehouses like street fairs, different vendors so concentrated concessions under one roof!

What you are saying is individual stores which I was not talking about!

You can always improve on an idea it just take effort!

These are just some ideas to play with!

And what products might they be? Please tell me what is American made that Walmart does not sell, other then custom made goods.
I can not afford to pay $200 for a pair of jeans.

You may shop at some trendy store, but much of their product is also from Asian markets.

That is such a lame argument. All the other stores sells Made-in-China products, too. Yet for some darn reason, a lot of what I get at Walmart is made here. And that's without trying to make sure they're USA products.

There are actually stores - hardware, clothing, food, toys, appliances - in my area that ONLY carry made in the USA merchandise. None of them are 'trendy'.
Prices are good as well.

Yes, I understand. They are indoor flea markets.
I have been to some. My ex wife loved them when we were on vacation trips... Carolinas and Tennessee.
They are fun on a weekend, but not for everyday shopping.

Here in Slovakia, there are large buildings as well as outdoor markets that have just as you describe.
Many of them are run by Vietnamese, selling Asian goods, hahaha
