The Harriet Miers Nomination was made on October 3, 2005. That was over EIGHT MONTHS after the inaugeration. Eight months is not at all like THREE MONTHS.

If you can't even get simply facts correct, it's hard to take the rest seriously.

Miers wasn't liberal. She was unqualified.

Yes, and aside from defense spending, he's just about outspent every liberal. He even handed a ton of our tax dollars to help fight HIV in Africa! He signed the biggest measure to federalize education in history with none other than Teddy Kennedy! He's been a silent fool and an embarrasment since he has come to office (with the exception of his handling of 9-11 when he was true to himself and those who voted for him). His gutless, spineless comrades in the Senate haven't been much help either.

Here's where I am coming from. On that beautiful day in November of 2002, I told my wife, a political newbie, to wait and see what happens. We were so excited because the Republicans had gained 2/3 of all government (federal and local). But since then, they have never taken the fight to the dems. The dems have controlled the fight since and the only ones to stand up half-heartedly have been the reps in the House of Representatives. Bush, being the virtual leader of the party has been asleep at the wheel, always playing some back-door deal until the liberal press calls him on it, and leaving his constituents to constantly defend him. Well, I am fed up with Bush. We need a true conservative with a set of b@11s to stand up and lead! I have been embarrased in front of my more-the-wiser wife. Thanks a lot W.

What makes you think the author is a liberal? That he helped get the swiftboat vets' story out suggests the opposite, and if Online Human Events has any connection to Human Events the newspaper, he can't be a liberal.

It may be a while before we understand all the machinations behind the immigration story becoming so big just now, but it looks like a coordinated strategy between the Democrats, the media, and left-wing organizations. At this point it looks like the outcome may be amnesty, millions of more reliable Democrat voters, a deeply divided Republican Party, and new ammunition for the media to use against conservatives. The only hope is that the average American doesn't docilely accept what he's being told by the politicians, the religious leaders, and the media, and actually sorts things out for himself.

You want a president with balls, yet you're embarrassed in front of your wife?

Who has the balls in your family?

Are you calling John Corsi a Dem mouthpiece?

I agree with what Laura Ingraham said today on her radio show, “Secure the border and penalize employers who hire illegal aliens”. I agree, and not a dime until Republicans start enforcing the law instead of being the friends of law breakers such as employers who hire illegals and undermine the middle class. And this posting from Online Human Events (Jerome R. Corsi) is excellent, and adds a touch of humor (viz “Maybe Bush has decided to work secretly for the election of Hillary Clinton as President in 2008. Since the 2004 election, Bush has gone out of his way several times to talk warmly about President Bill Clinton’s budding friendship with his father, Bush 41”) for which Bushies cannot decipher much less have a handle on reality. Bush’s polling is in the toilet, and the reason isn’t Iraq but outrage from the Republican base regarding many of the issues Corsi mentions in his article. After all, if Bush’s polling in the toilet is simply about his Iraq policy, then why the polling regarding approval of the Democratic Party itself which is even lower than Bush, the Democratic Party largely leading the way on criticism regarding the War in Iraq?

The fact of the matter is, largely contributing to Bush’s poor polling is the base of the Republican Party is really having enough of him and his salivating Bushies excusing and doting with applause his every bad decision, be it from Harriet Miers, to his goofy ecology spin and sell out on domestic oil exploration, his kow-towing to China and Fox, the stupid politically tone-deaf port deal, and six years of total sell out and betrayal of working Americans regarding the illegal alien invasion and his refusal to enforce current laws against law breaking employers who hire illegals, on and on - enough of this because we are tired of the “Viva Bushies” and their stupid “Viva Bush!” bumper stickers. We are being lied to by the Bush Administration in regards to this invasion from South of the Border – the left tells us “Bush Lied, People Died”, but what is really going on around here is we are being told by Bush we need to all wake up and smell the refried beans, the real lie isn’t about Iraq and WMD’s, it’s about this ture numbers regarding this invasion: Bush Lied, Beans Fried.

Right now, the 2006 midterm congressional elections are shaping up to be a major Republican Party setback.

Well, we'll see, won't we.

Isn't Corsi the loudmouth who made a fool of himself on FR?

Someone should remind Karl Rove that conservatives like to drill for oil.

Baloney. This conservative likes to have reasonably priced energy available, not just for myself, but for my children, grandchildren and so forth, and I don't care if it's from drilled oil. Drill in ANWR, build more nuke power generators, undo Slick's EO creating Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, develop fuel cells, but don't forget he's president of USA, not Russia, Iran, etc. Not possible to go balls to the wall just drilling oil.

I'm sorry you can quit wasting our time DUer. You have exposed yourself from day one as a DNC mouthpiece. Anyone stupid enough to argue "ideas over party" as anything but a recipe for complete political irrelevance is either working for the other side or a wholly ignorant of political realities in a Constitutional Republic.

There are not enough people who agree 100% with your ideas to elect a dog catcher. You have to compromise on some things to build a party that can win. The only way to get anything done in life is via compromise. It is utterly childish to demand ONLY 100% of what YOU personally want in politics.

Adults understand this reality, children throw temper tantrums to avoid dealing with it. By spending all your time here advocating the Right commit political suicide, you are either knowingly, or unintentionally, acting as a DNC "Virtual Campaigner" so which is it? Ideological fool or Ideological traitor?

"Psudeo Freepers exposed as DNC mouthpieces or fools. Probably both"

I only see one poster acting like a fool on this thread and that's you. This "Bush and Republicans are always right" mantra is getting more than tiring. If you want to see who supports DNC positions look in the mirror. You support The president and RINO members of congress when they support liberal causes. You are an enabler of the destruction of our Country. Loyalty should never trump principle. Your badmouthing of fellow freepers exposes you for little more than liberal twit. If you don't like conservatism why do you hang around and irritate those who do?

"Who has the balls in your family?"

Cheap shot, and I accept it. I told her to watch and see how great the Republican revolution was going to be, and I was wrong! But, it takes balls to admit to your wife when you have been made a fool, which is what Bush and the spineless Republicans have done for years now. But, fool me once, shame on them. Fool me twice, shame on me. Therefore, the Constitution Party will have my vote (and my wife's) in 2006.

Maybe you feel like a fool because you are one, for expecting Bush to be Torquemada.

You'll vote for some nobody in the Constitution Party, he won't win, the Democrat will, and you'll be right back here, bellyaching.

It's what people like you do.

The nomination of John Bolton alone is enough to make me applaud President Bush.

I love Bolton and what he's doing in the UN.

(I also love that we are not under Kyoto or the World Court, also thanks to the President.)
