I hope Bush can be Bush. Sounds like a good strategy to me.
I think getting rid of Card was good. Hopefully Scott McClellan is also on the endangered list.

approval ratings, schmaproval ratings. how pitiful that the self appointed oracles of the masses don't understand leadership, courage, purpose, nobility, or liberty.
Clearly, however, they do fear them.

The NYT bathhouse boys have nothing to report, as usual.

Article by Reuters and NYTimes: Predictable crap. They don't know what they are talking about. And they can't talk about it because they can only use one "shared lobe" in reporting on it. piffle.

I think Scott's doing fine. There are far too many applicants wanting the shot at verbally decking Thomas ad nauseum et al. Therefore, Scott's the man. :)

OhioWFan, when I saw that "clip" in the headline, I had to look. I just had to. The verbiage is right out of the 70s. It's so retro.
The proper response then to Reuters and NyTimes is: "How can you be in two places at once when you are really no place at all!" Credit: Firesign Theatre.

Democrats are not impressed by the more-open Bush. ``The president can give all the speeches he wants but nothing will change the fact that his Iraq policy is wrong,'' said Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid of Nevada.Note the distinct lack of an alternative plan..

I think if everyone stood back and just looked at the BIG picture instead of just the US picture a lot of Bush criticism would subside.
We are the lone Superpower, we will automatically have everyone else gunning for us.

George W. Bush is taking time to explain himself Bush is now saying that he wants to enforce border security with Mexico. Has he ever said in direct speak why he hasn't done it yet? If yes, then what was his DIRECT answer? If not and he wants to be himself to the press then someone needs to ask him directly.
To: willstayfree
Bush has not betrayed the American People. You posit some sort of ridiculous human chain spanning the entire US Border as a means to having done what? Stopped Illegals? Boyo, that really would have stopped more airplanes from diving into our metropolitan buildings, no? And surely it would have stopped briefcase bombers. Oh yea.
President Bush went after our attackers after 9-11. And this included many other security measures.
That your little pithy "human chain" around the borders wasn't given to you means you feel personally betrayed. Right?
Or are you just repeating some populist jingo you've been hearing?

Never a plan, cardinal. Only "Bush is bad......we will do better."
Pure bunk.

You're right. They haven't come up with anything new -- not ideas, not strategies, not economic progress, NADA since then. And they resent the hell out of any one doing anything better than themselves.
They sit in soiled diapers constantly screaming "Something Stinks!"

Its useless lol but keep trying to reason with some these folks. There seems to be a segment here that wants Bush hung from a tree. Some here are talking about the impeachment card for goodness sake. Bush will get all the blame even though the other side refuses to compromise in the slightest it seems on a guest worker program.
