My thoughts?
Let's just say they are lying outright. Why?
Because in this country today, some sort of legal action is taken against you if you lie. An investigation (at the sheeple's expense of course) is launched and the dirty "laundry" is exposed. We would at least know who the culprits are.
OTOH, if you are a known enemy spy what punishment is there?
Answer: None, nada, zilch, zip..........you continue to sit in the United States CONgress or other federal government entity, (read CIA, FBI, State) collecting a huge salary and every benefit know to man kind, (at the sheeple's expense of course) while continuing to destroy your country and her President from within.
They are also afforded the luxury of continuing to own, work for and profit from lying stinking rags known as print media or from broadcast media.
I choose lying outright...investigate and prosecute.
Treason, espionage and sedition are rewarded in our country today. Unless of course you think a $10k fine and loss of your top secret clearance for 3 years is punishment.
" his military leaders were demoralized to learn there were no WMDs, as they were counting on stocks of poison gas or germ warfare for defense. "
So US found out after the war what Iraqi generals found out before the war.
Our intelligence was based on what Iraqi defectors from the army were telling us ... so this debunks entirely the "Bush lied" thesis... not that the MSM would ever say that explicitly and challenge Howard Dean with a question like
"How was President Bush supposed to figure out something even Saddam's own generals couldnt?"
