The case is going to be heard in a U.S. Federal Court...so at not every thing about the case is secret...as to UAE complicity... it is certain fast and loose practices that assisted in the deception by providing a "friendly" environment...

The first idiot squawking about this was Schumer that is easily verified by anyone who cares.
And I do not lie I leave that to the mislead and misinformed gleefully following the Party of Treason's attacks on our ally and President.

Democratizing and investing with the Middle East just got ten times harder.

It's not made up... " On paper the shipment was harmless enough. Sixty-six American-made spark gaps--high-speed electrical switches used in medical devices to break up kidney stones--traveled from the manufacturer in Salem, Mass. late last summer to a buyer in Secaucus, N.J. From there, according to the export declaration, they were to be shipped to their ultimate destination in Cape Town, South Africa. But these spark gaps can also be used to detonate nuclear bombs--and it turned out that the goods were aimed at an end user in Pakistan, with a stopover in Dubai. The commercial capital of the United Arab Emirates, where trading activity accounts for the biggest single chunk (16.5%) of a $20 billion economy, has become a favorite diversion point on the Persian Gulf for shady cargo. With no export controls and hardly any bureaucracy at ports, airports and free zones, this entrepôt provides stellar cover for smugglers hoping to bypass U.S. embargoes... Still don't believe it ? Go to Forbes and read the entire article. Thanks lawdog. The rhetoric was getting out of control, with people accusing a Congressman of being less than candid.

We have used dictators to our advantage many times in the past including the worst the world has ever known. So what is your point?

But it is all better now, and we should never question any business deal involving American interests. It could insult sensibilities and make us be perceived as racist xenophobes against the countries whose nationals attacked us. Got it.Why don't you find somebody who says "we should never question any business deal involving American interests" and post your sarcastic straw-man fallacy to them?
Okay?
Thanks.

The regularly obnoxious posters in that class of 04 sign on's are suspect. They generally fall into two categories: 3 party types or anti-Bush. This one is a Savage disciple incapable of articulating his own argument...lol.

The first public figure to castigate this abominable pact was Frank Gaffney, from what I recall.

Dorgan stood up on the Senate floor this morning and said that he doesn't need 45 days...he didn't need 45 MINUTES...to say NO WAY.Kind of what Schumer said on Wednesday, something like "I don't need 45 days, I don't need 45 seconds".

After hostilities were declared over in May 2003 we left our wonderful s**t-hole in Saudi and moved to al-Minhad near Dubai. This is where they will put their F-16s. They were pretty good pilots and did much for us during OIF. They would be Allies #1 if we went to war with Iran.
If we did anything about Iran, They are very necessary.

Everyone but professional dumbasses know by now that this is the best port operator in the world. Every company that is the best wants a toehold in the US.
Are all the Antis completely ignorant?
To: TomGuy
So, UAE resorts to economic blackmail. It's not economic blackmail. What's economic blackmail is deep-sixing the $6.8 billion foreign investment in this country, which would have wiped out the debt this country has run up since 2001.

I live in 'Boeing Country' and to tell the truth, they're a few bricks shy of a full load...in some instances.

You think they would have gotten a clue when the Dems are against the port deal. They didn't get a clue, even though they aligned themselves with Schumer and Clinton.

The first idiot squawking about this was Schumer that is easily verified by anyone who cares.
That "idiot" is Senator from New York, where the 9/11 attack occurred, if you recall. Perhaps his alarm bell went off very quickly considering one of the ports to be managed by Dubai is in New York. Schumer may be an *sshole, in fact he is; however on this particular subject he has a legitimate bone to pick.

What? is Congress going to QUESTION him severely? What an absurd remark. Military men speak about things which disrupt their ability to operate all the time as they should.
He didn't mention any of the dumbasses by name so there is NO political content. This is bipartisian insanity.
