OMG! I didn't even think Crash was very good, and I'm sure Brokeback Mountain was better, but this is freaking hilarious.
To: Javelina
Crash was guaranteed to win when over half the members of the academy were also members of the ensemble cast.
To: altura
Is it? I am watching the local news. Never bothered to tune into the Oscars tonight.
Did the fellow who played Johnny Cash win? ______+ Phoenix?

That's truly weird. Crash. I don't think most people gave it a chance. And it doesn't sound like a movie I would like, but, along with most other people, I didn't see it.
To: HHFi
*groan* I'm just glad that a film by the guy who made Due South won.
To: Petronski
And lets not forget Ordinary People winning over Raging Bull. Scorsese has been truly jipped many a time at these awards.

Haggis is writing the new James Bond.
To: Jessica24
Crash wasn't bad. Probably not even one of the 20 best films of the year, but not bad as far as Best Pictures go.
To: Javelina
Glad to see that Crash won Best Picture. I thought "Crash" sucked, but I'm just glad BrokeBM did not win.

Agreed. But I think that adapted screenplay and best director wins are completely appropriate Wow you really are a cheerleader for the gay sheepers movie, aren't you?

Crash was an excellent movie. The Academy actually got it right. Ironically, for a movie about racism it was not politically charged whatsoever. Rent it...
