"we wouldn't need to stay longer than it would take to destroy all nuclear operations from the ground not the air. An air attack cannot guarantee complete removal of the nuclear program."
Your preaching to the choir. Glad some other people fully understand what must be done. We can pull most if not all of our troops from Iraq when we attack. With Iran gone, we need far less security in Iraq. I do disagree with you on this point:
"We kill or capture their leaders and tell the Iranian youth the country is yours now and bug out. No big democracy plan or trying to hold elections, we are out of there period."
We have a golden opportunity to end the biggest terrorist country/group/threat in the world. Even by cutting off the head, the snake will still live. We will have to stay, find the bugs and squash them to make sure no islamic coup comes along and we have the same exact problem 5-10 years from now.

We have lost most of our troops to IED's or gorilla warfare.

Okay, we agree on most of the strategy, that's not bad. lol
The reason I say bug out and not stay is because we could hit them five times fighting a conventional search and destroy only war and still walk away with less casualties than we have suffered in Iraq.
Every time they act up we roll in. These people understand power, they respect it. Hit them more than once and they will get the picture.
Our military should be built around a quick strike force mentality, able to strike anywhere on short notice. In the build up to both Gulf Wars it took months to move troops and supplies into position and that has to change.
No matter how hard we try we cannot change who they are. They will always be religious and always a danger because of that particular religion. They will learn to stay in their own back yard and play nice.
The reason they are acting they way they are now is from decades of attempted appeasement and soft military threats they regard as weakness. They still see us as paper tiger. Sometimes ideas are hard to change and it takes repetition to get the point across.

I am with ya. Too bad only 50% of America feels the way we do, I would sleep a lot better at night LOL.
