New Orleans has rested on their reputation and it's turned to mud, as a result.
They let the oil industry slide off to Houston ...
They let the southeast regoin's tourism/convention industry move off to Atlanta, Charlotte, & Orlando ....
Culturally it's become second to Atlanta ...
The only thing they really outsource now is crime.

This is not a bad thing, at all!
Saying the City of Atlanta is moving in a better direction, is *far* from saying I'd want to live there. I'll stay here in my 'burb, thank you very much.
