Later, the hunting group sat down for dinner while Whittington was being treated, receiving updates from a family member at the hospital.

He eat...LOL!

The press will just faint after seeing this blurb..

Surly, this qualifies as "private behavior" and has nothing to do with his office. Ala, Bill Clinton in the Oral Office. I didn't think Democrats cared about private behavior.

(At least Cheney didn't tell him to just put some ice on it.)

Whittington also received a warning for failing to have the stamp. A department spokesman said warnings are being issued in most cases because the stamp requirement only went into effect five months ago and many hunters aren't aware of it.

"Breaking Hunting Law" is a bit drastic, isn't it?

Lead story on Today Show. Matt just soiled his panties leading in to it.

The coverage of this story is a complete joke! The Today Show on NBC opened with this non-story, as if it were the most important story of the day. Sickening.

The accident raised questions about Cheney's adherence to hunting safety practices and the White House's failure to disclose the accident in a timely way.

Democrats are demanding the following actions:

1. Appoint a special prosecuter to investigate this failure to have a stamp and determine if it is impeachable offence.
2. Create a new White House Agency, Office of Hunting Accidents to insure timely reporting of all hunting accidents.
3. Ban bird shot and require plastic shot be used in its place as not to injure the birds.

But, he added, "it's still the fault upon the shooter to identify his target and what is beyond it."

. . .do we know that he did not and that his friend, with seventy-eight-year-old hearing (and perhaps ear plugs) did not hear him? WHatever. . .had his friend announced he was 'there'. . .then Cheney no doubt, would have responded accordingly. . .

THAT said. . .The Texas Parks and Wildlife Dept. should be cited for NOT sending the 'new stamp' required to Cheny; since all legalities were requested by Cheney's staff for his hunting trip.

This is a pathetic. . .as well as totally debased attempt on part of media to re-frame this hunting accident into a Cheney scandal. Disgusting. . .

They want to make any good Repub. . .appear to play on the same level and dirty, playing field they do. . .and use it as an apples/oranges 'frame' for their next and genuine. . .scandal.

Making these wild, irresponsible charges. . .does just that. Works for them.

ONE MORE THING. . .White House should take a little heat for not framing this accident in better context. . .Cheney did not shoot his companion. . .did not SHOOT the man(!). Cheney WAS aiming and shooting a quail; and we have yet to learn; whether he 'got' it; or not. . .

Kerry violated hunting laws on his infamous goose hunting trip durring the last election - and it barely made the news (in fact, I don't remember it being reported on the MSM).

Cheney was trapped by an admitted (by the authorities in Texas) new law that he and his staff - as non-residents - did not know about. Thus the warning.

Yet the lame-stream vultures are trying to make a story out of THIS case....

Not enough patronage jobs in an 'office'... Has to be a 'department' to accommodate all of the nephews, cousins, bros-in-law, sons, daughters, etc....... The crats will want an 8-10 figure department rather than a 6 figure office!!!
