The Religion Of Peace TM is so peaceful when it comes to criticism, eh? If they don't get it their way, they'll rampage through the streets.

(Denny Crane: "I Don't Want To Socialize With A Pinko Liberal Democrat Commie. Say What You Like About Republicans. We Stick To Our Convictions. Even When We Know We're Dead Wrong.")

Probably not defamation, since the cartoons do not address any individual other than the long-dead violent and virulent pedophile.

They may focus on either Negligent- or Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress (sounds like what they're gunning for from the talking points so far). To do so, they need to prove that the emotional trauma resulted in actual physical personal damage. (It's not enough to say, "I'm so close physically and emotionally to Old Mo' that it damaged my f-f-f-feeelings to see him 'defamed' by the cartoons.") It would be a stretch, although they might try it.

Of course, this is all based on my fuzzy recollections from Tort Law class, and it's only American Tort law, not Canadian. Interesting that it is an incentive to react to slights in the most extreme ways possible. Explains quite a bit of liberal hyper-reactionism, to me.

If they get the right self-loathing liberal jury, one or two hyper-sensitive Muzzies may just grab a few hundred million for their terrorist-condoning buddies.

We aren't at war with Islam, either. There are more than 1 billion moslems in the world. What percentage of them are strapping on the vests and blowing people up?

What percentage of them actively and openly oppose the bombers?

All it means is that a small percentage are actually faithful to the fundamentals of their religion

Gavrilo Princip

Gavrilo Princip in prison cell in Theresienstadt

Gavrilo Princip (Serbian Cyrillic: Гаврило Принцип) (July 25, 1894 – April 28, 1918) was a Bosnian Serb nationalist who killed Franz Ferdinand, Archduke of Austria, and his wife Countess Sophie in Sarajevo on June 28, 1914. The event, known as the assassination in Sarajevo, prompted the Austrian action against Serbia that led to World War I.

Early Life Born in Obljaj, Bosansko Grahovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Gavrilo Princip's parents, Petar and Marija Nana née Mičić, had nine children, five sons and four daughters, six of whom died in infancy. His health was poor. From an early age, he suffered from tuberculosis, which was his eventual cause of death in 1918, and was also one of the reasons he let himself kill Archduke Ferdinand in the first place.

Princip attended primary school in Grahovo where he excelled in his studies, especially in romantic and historic literature. A teacher at the school gave him a collection of Serbian heroic folk poetry. At thirteen, Princip planned on a military career and went to Sarajevo to study at the Military School. After arriving, he instead chose to pursue a business career so he enrolled in the Merchant's School where he studied for three years.

Contrary to common belief, Princip was not a member of the Black Hand, but was a member of the group Young Bosnia (Mlada Bosna), which he joined in 1911. The Young Bosnia Movement was a group made up of Serbs, Croats, and Bosnian Muslims, committed to achieving independence for Bosnia.

How many Moslems oppose the bombers? Well, quite a few, really. That's how we get much of our good intel in Iraq at great risk to their own lives.

I wouldn't trust the MSM to let us know anything about what ordinary Moslems around the world are doing. I prefer Iraq the Model. In fact, I barely trust the MSM to tell me what day it is on the front page of their paper. Hello, it's February 13, 2006 AND IT'S ALL BUSH'S FAULT! :-)

Dig this.

Check out the recruiting posters of the era as well as the speeches. "We are the army of God! They are the unfaithful!" It was on both sides. One can only conclude that Christians are insane, right? No, of course not.

Hope you noticed the assassin of the Archduke Ferdinand and his wife - the shot that was heard around the world - was fired by a member of a group including Serbs, Croats and Bosnian Muslims.

He may have been a useful idiot for islam.
