Hi Dutchess :)
I just saw President Bush. He did an excellent speech. Told of a terrorist plot that was prevented. Yet these rats worry about rights of terrorists. Unbelievable.

Hi Allegra. What's the take in Iraq on this whole cartoon thing? Continued prayers for you and our military men and women! Thanks from a grateful contractor. ;-)
There have been a couple of protests in Iraq about the cartoons but they have been peaceful.
Iraqis tend to be a little more laid back than some other Middle Easterns. When they were protesting after the December elections, they were organized and peaceful. The news tried to make it look bad that they were protesting, but I thought it was wonderful.
They protest because they can. They voice their opinions because they can. Imagine being allowed to do that after a lifetime of being forbidden to do so.
Freedom is a great thing and they're exercising it. And for the most part, they're doing it peacefully. More power to 'em.

saw you posted in wee hours.. hope it wasn't a formatting "situation".. I hate when that happens.
A few little "wee" problems. The subject line was so long it kept rejecting it EVEN WHEN I was within 100 characters. Finally got frustrated, went to bed only to get up an hour later. Have a great day sis!

Is MIL still happy in her "new digs"? She sure seems to be. I was over there yesterday and she filled me in on all the "gossip". Didn't take her long to get into the loop. I think this is exactly what she needed. In fact, she said she probably should have made the decision to move over there long ago. Of course, she fusses over things like the laundry people not returning her clothes to the proper place in her closet, and the half deaf lady next door keeps her TV turned up too loud, but those are just little things that give her something to gripe about. :-)
How's Dad doing?
We've been having some nice warm days here, so my project today is to get out the ladder and clean all the ceiling fans, including the two out on the patio. Spring is coming! Yippee!!!

Courage - An Empowering Emotion
Joshua 3:1-17
What would you say if God asked you to: lead many others, as Joshua did? Speak His words to prominent leaders, as Daniel did? Become a traveling missionary like Paul? God wants us to respond with courage when He calls us to tackle something beyond our ability.
Our first step toward bravery is meditation on the Word of Godwe are to search for its meaning as if for treasure. With the Spirits help, we will understand the Bible and learn how to apply its wisdom to our situation.Next is obedience to the Word. As we contemplate Gods truths, they become imprinted on our minds and influence our actions. Scripture is meant to shape our thinking and cause us to follow biblical principles. The more we think Gods way, the more we will act like Him.
Trusting in Gods promises is the third action needed for building courage. Joshua moved across the Jordan River towards Jericho because he took God at His word. The fourth step in developing fearlessness is to recall past victories. Young David, the shepherd boy, did this effectively. His remembrance of Gods past protection gave him the courage to fight the Philistine giant, Goliath. (1 Samuel 17) Practicing these steps will empower us to focus on victory rather than defeat, reject others fearfulness, and obey God without alarm over possible consequences.
God wants His followers to bear witness of Him to an unbelieving and often hostile world. Will you speak the truth of Christs resurrection, His saving power from sin, and His promised return? The Lord is calling your name. What reply will you give?
