the city was home to two major hospitals and the famous Noble Brothers cannon foundry.The "Six Sigma" guys at the Noble Brothers cannon foundry knew those defective cannons could ruin everything.
So they hid them from upper management.
Who knew it would take a 140 yrs to find them??? ;-)

Excellent book! Sequel, ok but not as good as I recall. Are there more than two in his Cival War series? Never read his WWII series of alternate realities, though.
