If ratings had anything to do with pulling a TV show or not, Commander would be gone. But it isn't. Networks are about what they want on TV these days, regardless of the tanking ratings.
If ratings governed there decisions, they would have dumped reality TV long ago.

Wow - it's been even longer than I thought since I have watched network TV. I did not see a single episode!

I agree! There were no qualms whatsoever about touting ultra liberal propaganda either. One episode a Lib was fighting with a Republican over sex ed in school. The Lib asked the Republican if he would prefer children grew up to be of high moral character and have values, OR to be scientists and doctors and such. The Republican said "I's frankly, rather they had both" It was priceless, and rang sooooooooo true!! Only reason I watched was to see how the left operates, since libs write the show. You could see libs in action, hypocrisy and all.

All of those "ripped from the headlines" shows have gotten old. They ALWAYS take the side of the perverts in the end. Gary Sinese is pretty good though. And the SVU lead actor was the one who said "if you are a pacifist you don't send your kid to military school" That was a while ago, but classic.

I just read Benjamin Franklin's bio. An amazing patriot butI didn't realize he was such a horn dog. He had the morals of Larry Flint.
I better stop reading!! ;)I love those books.
We have a tendency to regard the Founders as gods. They weren't, they were men who did incredible things. That makes their accomplishments all the more astounding.
Alexander Hamilton was a Revolutionary War hero, Washington's most important advisor both as general and President, and laid the economic foundation that made this country the world's only superpower. He also was at the center of the first sex scandal in American government.
I like my heroes to have feet of clay. They're only mortals, after all.

I watch a few shows on Fox, but my news comes from FR, and watch the local stations for weather forecasts at times.

Shadenfreude on a Sunday afternoon....life is good.
If the populace ever discovers the mutual attraction between actors and liberals, the great (liberal) charade will evaporate.
And arm bands will no longer be in vogue.

lol Well lets be honest Law and Order has only ever been one idea. Provacative crime, they think they find the obvious suspect, run into a dead end of some kind, leading them to another suspect, leading them back to the original suspect in some clever way or to someone unexpected. Its one idea but its done well most of the time.

BTW, do you have the FBI stats to prove what you just said? If so, then please post....
I am talking only about Law and Order not anything official.

Perhaps NBC can do something sensible and pick up a treasure that Fox dropped - Firefly.

But the dialog in that show was just too slick to be realistic. People talked too smoothly in these long flowing sentences. Acknowledged. But I never watched WW expecting it to resemble reality anyway, much like I view liberal governmental programs :-).

Aaron Sorkin is a brilliant writer. Some of the scripts he created were breath takingly beautiful and very moving.
Aaron Sorkin is a gifted writer. The way he crafted dialog that was swift and snappy is genius. I love "A Few Good Men" because of it (also I think Cruise and Nicholson offer excellent performances). I'm a wannabe TV/Movie hack writer and I model my stylings on Sorkin's work. ("Sports Night" is also brilliantly written.)
Kudos to a brilliant cast....the chemistry was awesome. Martin Sheen was perfectly cast BTW.
Martin Sheen, despite his left wing politics, is a great actor. He's got what it takes to pull off a good politico, and his role as Pres. Bartlett is outstanding.
For those of you who didn't see it......who are you to comment?
It's every Freepers right to not know what they're talking about. If Freepers were limited to talk about what they knew, 90% of the posts would disappear.

Great news. Seems the lefties think they can use a lightweight TV program to get away with campaign finance issues. Like we thought Hildebeast was another Geena Davis?

The problem with the lefties is, they believe everything they see on the network shows. That is why I get my news here.
