FR has become very mormon friendly
>> Remembering the Mountain Meadows Massacre
Interesting post.
If I write a web page and post a link here does that make it true?
(I Did that to a fellow who was arguing a premise quoting a web page. I wrote one and posted it during the discussion, then referred him to the page for Proof, it was a lot of fun, and lead to a discussion of judging by merit, not publishing status). I saw several Factual Errors (Liker revelation being written last, everyone knows it was the gospel of St John, and decided to look no further).
What was your purpose in posting this link?
All "legions" are fiction. Just like Paul Bunion and his Blue OX.
Or that so many are convinced that the author is trying to pass it off as anything BUT fiction.
Welcome aboard, Eastbound. :-)
It was his vested interest in disparaging "Mormons".
Some people get their kicks by smearing others.
book mark
Thanks. I brought my own knife and fork. What time is pot-luck?
Everyone has already heard all the "Legends".
They have been debunked long ago or he wouldn't be saying "legend has it......"
It is a feeble attempt at stirring people up.
They don't stir as easily any more.
No, I have no vested interest.
Which legend has been debunked? You're not clear therefore I can't respond.
What was the scurrilous (???) BS? Again, not clear so I can't respond.
I've gotten a few FReepmails, too.
The List is growing!
Anyone who passes malicious gossip around as "Legend has it..." is intentionally smearing someone, and is spreading disinformation.
You get your kicks out of smearing people. That is your vested interest.
That's great! It sure beats the bad old days, when the anti-Mason crazies would take over a thread and only a few of us would fight them, without any way of knowing, let alone alerting FR's Masons/Masonic family members to what was happening.
>>I'm having a very difficult time restraining myself...
Sorry to hear that.
>>...so here goes. The same Church of Jesus Christ of
>>Latter Day Saints (that you say condemned him) has
>>reinstated John D. Lee as a member in good standing and
>>has restored all Temple Covenants and Endowments.
Proof?
>>It has been determined that he was not necessarily the
>>cause of the massacre, but a scapegoat. The one man that
>>took responsibility for the WHOLE Church...AND that
>>includes YOU it seems.
Proof?
>>John D. Lee ...on his tombstone it says....It is far
>>better for one man to die, than a nation dwindle in
>>disbelief. It also says And ye shall know the truth and
>> the truth shall set you free! His headstone was
>>purchased by Mormons and placed upon his grave by
>>Mormons.
A couple of quotes
Copyright violations? You can have whatever you want on your tombstone (Hey isnt that a commercial?) Since he was a Mormon until he did this and was executed, I would suppose his relatives were Mormon as well, so it stands to reason Mormons placed his tombstone on his grave. Sheesh!
You should be on the senate judiciary commitee.
you may well consider yourself same - however, LDS refusal to accept Christian creeds accepted by all other Christian denominations certainly draws that into question
When this new book hits the stands I'm sure they'll be coming out of the woodwork.
The same people who say they "don't have a vested interest" proceed to spew some more "legends".
I know that you are just trying to smear people because you have nothing constructive to add to the discussion.
Its like the smartalic kid in the third grade who holds up his hand, and waves it and says "Me teacher.. Me teacher.. pay attention to me."
Let me ask again. What SPECIFIC reference are you mad at?
Who, BE SPECIFIC, am I smearing?
