Special teams will win the game for Texas, This year Texas has 6 blocked punts and two returned for TDs.
Remember the name-Romance Taylor
And, it isn't the Rose Bowl. The Rose Bowl is held on January first, unless january first is a sunday, in which case it is held on the second -- same day as the Rose Parade.
There was a Parade on Monday, but no game -- they cancelled the Rose Bowl this year.
In her dreams? The Rose Bowl was fantastic before the interlopers were invited in. 10,000 unsold seats last year.
GO, REGGIE BUSH!!!!!!!
Enjoy the moment while you have it. :-)
Uhm... USC played FOUR ranked teams this year, UT two...
Agreed. I HATE the new BCS format. The Rose Bowl was our chance to show fly-over country who REALLY knew how to play football...
I hope that the field goal kickers for Texas and USC...are watching this Orange Bowl..
They may not sleep a wink tonight...LOL
LOL...what do you mean? Texas and USC won't need to kick Field goals. Their punters might not need to show up tomorrow, either! ;) Enjoy the game tomorrow--hoping it's a good one. As exciting as, but better played than, the Orange Bowl.
LOL! *Placemarker*
Is this like standing in line?
Hook'em Horns!
As God as my witness I thought the rose bowl was played already. Isnt it supposed to be on the 1st? I was at disneyland last friday and saw alot of people with texas stuff on so I suppose they are playing in it. Who is the other team?
Um no I dont have tv.
Yeppers...did your get your bracelet to show you are in line...did you bring your jammies..and sleeping bag??
Hey---I love a fan...and Burbank Karl provided some very good information re: parking..
Southern California's the other team. The Bowls got mixed up when they instituted the Bowl Championship Series, so now they are played on many days. It is the most hyped game ever, and may even end up living up to the fanfare.
Indeed it is. It's also supposed to feature the winners of the Pac-10 and Big-10 conferences. But college football has gone through a lot of changes over the last few years (ALL for the worse), so it is what it is.
Who is the other team?
USC
Hmm. Interesting. Guess it makes sense to spread out the commercial dollars like that. Glad I know though because was going to go to an appointment in pasedena tomorrow.... Not now. Thanks for the tip.
Even though I'm a UT fan, I'm afraid the game will go something like this:
1) Vince Young runs for 8 yards and fumbles
2) Bush runs 35 yards up the middle for a TD
3) Vince Young runs for 11 yards and fumbles
4) Bush runs 27 yards for a TD
5) Under pressure, Vince Young throws a pop up interception
...
You get the picture. UT is going to psych themselves out of the game.
That earthquake you will hear tomorrow night will be all the people jumping off the USC bandwagon when the lose.
UPDATE: There will be limited parking on the golf course tomorrow. There are certain sections of pre-paid parking on the course (w/ passes) that will be full. The other sections of the course will be first come, first serve. Certain sections of the course will not be used. You will have to have a ticket for the game to even park down at Brookside. The word is that if you come after 2:00 p.m., you will most likely not get a parking space on the course.
PS - The course was open for play today. O.J. was not spotted.
